Not me, but DB once dropped off his wife at Schnucks (a grocery store) and went to get the oil changed in the car. Went back to Schnucks and waited and waited. He was at the wrong Schnucks! Thanks goodness for cell phones or he might still be there. lol

1 1/2 hours is their game time, so by the time I would have gotten there, game would have been over HALF over, being as I walked around the game fields several times, looking for them at the wrong field.

I DID call PJR and told him what happened. "Grandmother!!!" and giggles

I called his DADDY who was coaching first base, and he saw it was me that was calling, so DADDY PARKE answered, knowing I was supposed to be at the game. His daddy is PSR, NOT PJR.

When all three of our kids were playing baseball our son's games were north of town and the girls were on fields that were in town. My husband and I used to each go to the different fields and then switch about half way thru the games. That way we got to see all of the kids play! Whewww!

Oh, I forgot to add.. that I've had the RIGHT PLACE, but the WRONG TIME many a time! lol

DS called and wanted us to see something, so we headed over to his house. I missheard or something because there was no answer at the door...then the cell phone rings..WHERE ARE YOU MOM...I'm at YOUR HOUSE. So we headed home to visit him and see his new tatoo!!

I attended a wedding a couple of years ago and kept looking around for some co-workers. I was at the right wedding but half way through the ceremony, in came my co-workers. They had been at the wrong wedding and didn't even notice until the pastor said "Do you ____ take ___ to be your".....

That had to be very aggravating! A few months ago I entered BJ's, then remembered I had left my wallet at home. At least I hadn't shopped yet.

Glenda, don't get your knickers into such a twist. I misread what you had written, and thought you said that you had called your grandson. And I know that the first base coach isn't playing the game, and I also know that sometimes team members (players) do get put into a base coach "stint," so I thought it was odd that whomever-he-was had a cell phone out there.

I once went to a funeral at the designated time, but a day late.

I went to the wrong funeral for graveside services. Right time; wrong place; wrong person.

Distant relative, but looked around and didn't see anybody I recognized. I got up and left while the minister was speaking when I realized I had made a mistake.

Yes...today! The photo club was going hiking. The plan was to park all our cars next to the towns center park then walk to the trail head. There were Cinco de Mayo celebratons in the park, no place to park "anywhere". Ended up paying hourly for parking, one couple, they got into an argument(stressed out), she took the car & dropped him off, so they didn't have to pay for parking ALL day. Only to find out there's a parking lot at the trail head and it was empty!

Haven't told this story in a while because we were embarrassed. Friends daughter was getting married in a large city and the wedding was going to be at the hotel. We got to the hotel, checked in, had all the luggage brought up, tipped everyone, paid for the valet parking, we are starting up to the room. My friend called and ask why we were not at the hotel. I explained that we were at the hotel. She said well send you luggage on up and come down to meet me in the lobby. Down we go and look everywhere, my phone is ringing and she said I can't see you. Where are you, I describe where we are standing and she was saying are you sure you are in the main lobby. She finally asked , are you at the right hotel. Well guess what, wrong hotel, we are checked in, luggage in room. How very embarrassing to have to go to the desk and explain we are at the wrong hotel. They were so polite to us, they got our luggage back from the room, brought the car around and were even trying to return our tips. Of course we told them no. How on earth I got confused with the wrong hotel. I will never know. Of course, all of our friends knew by this time, that we had checked into the wrong hotel. From that day forward, when we have an event that involves a hotel I recheck the hotel information before booking. Guess they were trying to make us feel good at the first hotel, they were saying that was not the first time that happened and would not be the last.

OMG I almost forgot one. DD#1, DD#2 DD#1's MIL...okay a long list, but a BUNCH of us girls had tickets to WICKED...sooo excited. Before I left home, DH said something about the Ordway Theater (in St. Paul), and so I got it in my head the play was there. We get there about 1/2 hour early, great parking, no lines...wait...no lines? DOORS LOCKED...omg something is not right. Look at the tickets, it's at the ORPHEUM...in Minneapolis. About 20-25 minutes away! We book it to our cars, race through town (2 cars, one following me...THEY ran red lights, I didn't)...We got to the theater..parked (How I don't know)...and got into the theater. Usher said you have 4 minutes to get seated or you have to wait 10 minutes!!! DD#1 had to pee, and we had to run up like 4 flights of stairs. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE. BUT we made it, and got to see all of wicked! Now when we go to a play, everyone checks to make sure what theater it's at!

Got up, went to dr's office, and I had no appointment, duh.

We once went to one of the grandkid's ballgames. Thought she was playing the first game - nope, second game!! LOL

This wasn't us (I swear) but we were at the airport and family next to us was having problems with tickets/check-in. Employee finally said, Sir this ticket is for Dulles Airport, not National Airport! (About an hour drive between the airports) That family hightailed it out of there!! I think about them nearly everytime we fly and double check the airports!!
