I make mine with lots of butter,salt,pepper,cream or milk and sometimes sour cream so I rarely put anything else on them.DD likes her corn mixed in on her plate.

I like putting a little sour cream and cream cheese in my mashed potatoes with a little onion powder, tastes great.

I like a lot of black pepper; finely ground as opposed to coarse pepper, chives or the stems off of green onions and butter.

I put butter, salt, pepper, and either canned milk or reg milk (whichever I happen to have).

Just pepper and garlic! But, I wish I could have gravy, or butter.

Childhood memories of mashed potatoes: make a well in the center, on your plate, and put English peas in the middle.

If you are mashing it up, I don't think cottage cheese would be much different from sour cream.

Lawsy, Glenda--DH loves lumps in his mashed potatoes. I try (sort of) to leave him some.

I like gravy--or if we have peas I love to mix them with the potatoes. Creamed peas, even better. Never thought of corn, but it sounds good.

When I make them I use butter and a bit of milk.

On my plate I like them plain, with gravy, with mustard or with ketchup. It depends on what I am eating them with.

If I'm not having grave, I make them with salt, pepper, milk or pet milk, butter, chives, and sometimes cheddar cheese.

Oh, white gravy or brown gravy and chicken and noodles, chicken and dumplings and even beef and noodles.

I haven't eaten mashed potatoes in 2 1/2 years! (Low Carb for me) I do however love mashed Cauliflower with butter and garlic!

My secret ingredient:a package mix of ranch dressing. No topping needed, but I have been know to mix half cream cheese w/half butter and use it too. Kathy

Mush, I started to make the cauliflower mashed potatoes one time, but for some reason I never did. A lot of people say they are good, Now that you've reminded me of them I may actually get it done.

Well, I know this is not on any diet plan, but I like macaroni and cheese on my potatoes. Not that I eat it every day, but it's comfort food for me. When I was pregnant and miserable w/morning sickness, that's one thing that would stay down. (Lots of starches, that's what I craved.)

I use the water that the potatoes are boiled in instead of milk...a stick or two of Parkay Margarine and salt.
My daughter loves it with sour cream added. DH likes alot of black pepper, so I sprinkle that(sometimes) on his individual servings...
I like to experiment with food, and have added Cheez Whiz to the mashed potatoes...not bad.

Take Control, salt and pepper, when I make them, which isn't often.

I make mine like ashli! I boiled them down and then add butter,salt&pepper! And YES..they gotta have lumps! *S* They become CREAMED potatoes unstead of MASHED, if they don't have LUMPS! lol

When I cook them I use butter and a little milk.

I don't cook with any salt.

I let everyone put what they want on them.

I usually eat my with a little salt

I try to stay away from gravy...Old WW habits...too bad the rest of them didn't stick with me.

I don't like gravy. Just some butter and a little pepper. I might mix some of my veggies in some of the mashed potatoes.
