I need help with clever/humorous wording

for a sign.

There are four apartments on my floor and it's kind of like living in a dorm. I have neighbors pop in and out all the time. One in particular, would come over every afternoon and stay until I kicked him out to go to bed if I let him...he's developmentally disabled and very, very, sensitive. I don't want to hurt his feelings, but I'm thinking about putting a sign up next to the front door that says something like

If the door is open, I'm up for company, if closed, no company tonight please

or something like that

Any ideas?

That's hard since he is DD and sensative!! If he weren't i would say,"if you're uninvited,& unexpected,then your also unwelcome"! So i guess what you have in mind is ok.

I like the wording you selected! If he doesn't go by the sign, just tell him that sometimes you need to rest, so if the doors closed--I'm resting--

Magic,I am sorry, I went back to the game and was playing it. I didn't realize you had posted again. I have the full version. I went ahead and bought it several months back, very addicting. Thank You!!!! I can always depend on my Kt friends....(as I sing wishfully "if I only had a brain..") My DH have this on going game of Flip Words and we have been stumped by this since yesterday..I wonder if I should tell him about my KT brainy friend helping out? Teehee. O.K. I will, I will. :+D

We did it!!! After reading all of your suggestions about security, coding and plug-ins, etc., I realized that I was in way over my head technically! I emailed Nephew and offered to pay him to fix and finish this for me. He was so sweet and told me that he'd be more than happy to do it, and no way was he wanting any payment for it. He's such a busy guy, with his job, new house and a great wife. As I mentioned earlier, he was so sweet to help me start this back in December, and I've been trying to finish it up on my own ever since then. But WordPress had me so confused! Anyhoo, I told him what you all suggested and he fixed everything for me! And when he went back in yesterday to make the changes, he said that he was really impressed with what I'd done with the blog and that it looked fantastic. I am so relieved and happy that he likes it, as he does this for a living, working for some tech company in Denver. He told me that he's had to go in and fix or help companies and individuals start up their own websites and blogs and mine is the nicest he's ever seen. And so, many thanks for helping me with this. I am very, very grateful. Our clinic's blog website is now ready for our patients and I can breathe again! Lynn

I thought about hanging a Do Not Disturb Sign on the door knob, but thought it may appear a little rude. LOL

I don't see anything rude about a Do Not Disturb sign. Put a "please" on there to pacify the overly thin-skinned.

You could just drop a few condom wrappers by the door and start a tape playing of squeeking bedsprings and moaning... with the sign "If the floor is rockin, don't come a knockin"
