Pottery Barn Slip Covered Dining Room Chairs
Comments (15)I like my natural colored slipcovers. Yes some one can spill bbq sauce, but what if they spilled on your dining chair? Unless you are using all wood or vinyl, it is going to stain. Being able to take it right off and treat the stain with out damaging the frame of the chair is a nice thing. Personally, I would look for a less expensive version, but that is due to my wallet, I would probably love these if I could afford them. You can find other covers so you can switch out if you get tired of the white. Since I am busy sewing my own slip covers right now, yes they can wrinkle and shrink. But taking them out of the dryer while still fairly damp can make it easier to stretch them to put on. I have an older and much loved couch that has had the covers washed a lot with no issues with the seams. I did replace the seat cover because over time (and with the help of the dog) was not coming as clean as I would like...See MorePottery barn sofa fail
Comments (2)Selling the cat seems to be the most cost effective plan. If it’s just the cover that’s an issue, then invest in a slipcover. You say its comfortable, and I think I understood that you like it? Unless there’s a different reason, I’d just have a slipcover made. I don’t understand why you think your cat won’t go after the new cover, though....See MorePottery Barn Upholstered chair quality?
Comments (29)Much better pricing! The Calico Corners was high IMO. If I were doing three upholstered pieces in the configuration shown I would try to come as close to "matching" two pieces. What does your sofa look like? I may have missed you sharing that. So lets say your sofa is a gray chenille. For the chair I would try to shoot for a neutral of maybe soft white or cream or the same color as the sofa but maybe in a linen so they are both the same neutral color but different because of texture. Then for the second chair I might think about doing a different chair that has the same scale as the other but can stand on its own too. On this I would choose a different fabric a print possibly. Here is an example of different fabrics and a different chair that could hold its own with the Lee chair you have....See Moreslip covers from pottery barn
