I was on Bill Riley's talent search show when I was a kid.

I was on NY1 here in NYC for my magazine, talking about child-proofing.

And I'm on Sirius radio now and then, subbing for one of the editors here!

Our Community theater put on a variety show that was televised from our local station. I was dressed as a flapper in a dress of black fringe, long pearls and head=ache band on my head. I sang, Its a sin to tell and Goody-Goody. Sure wish I still had that dress....he!! I wish I still FIT in that dress. LOL Dottie

I was Interviewed by a News Station regarding Developmentally Disabled Persons who become homeless when there were cutbacks in the program.

When I saw it on the News I didn't recognize myself. LOL!

The Local Radio Station also interviewed me on the same subject.

I was on The Price Is Right, and Dr. Phil. Both time in the audience. I could never get on stage myself. I'm not that outgoing.

Not me, but DH was a few times. On our local public television, he was the announcer during some of their pledge drives. As a local radio announcer, he is what I call a "mini" celebrity.

I don't think so, but I was at a Branson restaurant once when they were taping a commercial (to play on the Branson vacation channel)... so I could have been on that.

Yes. It's a painful experience, IMHO.

Been on TV a twice that I can remember. Both times for our local PBS station, manning the phones to raise money.

One of the times I was sitting in the back row right next to David Horowitz of TV's "Fight Back" fame.

Stephanie Edwards (co-host of the New Year's Day Tournament of Roses parade for 27 years) was hosting the PBS night. She had been told that my company would match dollar for dollar any donations so she came over to interview me about it and to challenge my co-workers to pledge.

Shortly after Stephanie interviewed me, a guy in the front row stands up and yells back at me that there is a caller asking specifically for me by name. I'm all excited thinking it's a co-worker with a pledge.

The cameras follow as I run down to the first row and are pointed at me as I take the call. Once I had the phone, I said "KOCE, may I take your pledge?" but all I hear is heavy breathing followed by some stuff I can't write about here at the KT. LOL I slowly inched my hand over to the phone and pressed the switchhook, all the while smiling and pretending to take a pledge. The guy who had taken the call was a little confused since I hadn't actually written anything down on the pledge sheet and asked if I knew the caller. No, I said, I don't think so.

When I got back to me seat, David Horowitz asked if the call had come from a friend. I told him it was an obscene phone call and he just laughed.

50+ years ago I was on Here Comes the Bride TV show and won a nice set of dishes which my GD will use later. I even have a picture that my Dad took of the TV at the house someplace. It was fun.
OH yes TV showing my kids and the back of me in Lancaster Ca when they took the Challenger Space Rocket from Lockheed to Edwards AFB by truck That is still a thrill to me today.

I've never been on tv, but my sister is on Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting show occasionally.

Once. Several years ago Channel FX was doing a show similar to Antiques Roadshow, and they went to different locations. I applied and was lucky enough to be chosen to be on the show and have an item appraised.

It was fun to be there and also just to see how that TV stuff works. I have the video and when I see my jaw drop at the appraisal estimate I look like an idiot! (No comment, please!)

When Neva & I were 8th graders, we sang (awfully!) on a tv talent show in Harlingen. Then I was at a beauty shop in Corpus Christi, under the hairdryer, when a tv crew came in to shoot a commercial for the shop. Thank goodness I was the only one who knew it was me under the dryer! Then in Houston I made a minute long commercial for the Heart Association in 1975, and that time it was fun.

I was walking across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge walk with my BIL and sister. They were filmed walking and I was just out of the picture. I was glad the news repeated the shot so I could record it in the afternoon and I was glad I saw that camera *G*

I've had my picture on TV a couple of times and no....it was not Most Wanted! Both times my picture was on the news though.

When I was a Paramedic I was on the news a few times when a camera crew would show up on our accident scenes. We always tried to avoid the cameras because if you get caught on camera or in the paper you buy your crew or station ice cream.

A few times. Working for an issue and was interviewed on the national news that played before the Today Show, which aired next. Also in Los Angeles local show on the same issue.

A few times...on a dance show-kind of the 'local Scranton version' of American Bandstand; during the flood of '72-I was cooking in our local firehall for volunteers who helped during the flood-local news station interviewed me; was featured on the local affiliate of 'Good Morning America'-where for 3 seconds you said "Hi-I'm Sharon ___, from Laceyville in Wyoming County. Welcome to northestern Pennsylvania!" Lastly-I did a phone interview which was broadcast on the Carol Duval Xmas Show. I was asked to send in an ornament I made out of miniature marshmellows. Was on air w/Carol for 3 minutes & she showed my ornament.

As a teenager, I was a regular on our local (Cleveland, OH) version of American Bandstand. When I was 30, I won a local TV (again, Cleveland) contest for writing the best reason I needed a mink coat and was on the "Today"-type program with DH & kids to recieve my prize --the MINK COAT! (We eventually sold it for 1/2 it's retail price & it payed for half of a stripped-down Dodge Omni that we drove for 12 yrs. until the frame broke.) :-)

I worked for a TV station in Oregon for 14 years, and did many commercials. Even had my own 15-minute interview show for a couple of years!

I was in college, at a Champagne Breakfast and was being interviewed because I was in charge of some Homecoming activity that the Champagne Breakfast was the kickoff for. Considering I was drunk, it was not my finest moment.

A crew wanted to interview me one time when I was shopping in "Chocolate Chocolate Chocoloate" on Valentine's Day. They wanted to ask who I was buying chocolate for, etc... I said no..I didn't want to be on tv. They seemed very shocked that I said no.

A friend in high school wrote a musical play, I was in the cast, we literally "put on a show". A parent with TV connections got it filmed and showed it on our local station, and I was in one scene. My big break, but no one from Hollywood saw me! that;'s why you don't recognize the name Janice Wood. no, I'm not related to Natalie.

Any time it is a slow news day and there is something in the travel world that is interesting. About every 3 months or so. During the days and weeks following 9/11 I was on almost daily for a long time with the Red Cross. United 93 went down here.

When I was in high school I was on a show called Reach For The Top, which is a t.v. game show similar to Jeopardy, except it had 2 teams of 4 students from rival high schools competing against each other. Alex Trebek was the host, before he left Canada and went to the States to eventually host Jeopardy. Other than that, I was in a the studio audience for Bozo, Romper Room, Jack LaLanne and The Price is Right.

My extended family members were extras in "Invasion USA". I got sick because they made the kids dressing winter clothes in Atlanta in the summer! In the movie, you can see my dad and brother standing beside the school bus when it is being loaded. My cousin and her mom are running in front of the buss (I was in the sick bay, quite dehydrated!). The film company got fined and kicked out of GA for several years for violation of child labor laws because they did/wouldn't give us fluids. Oh, and some stupid mother brought her daughter so she could be "discovered"- all that happened was this kids gave all the other kids a summer dose of chickenpox!!!!

Jodi's encouragement to attend the Ellen show led to most of my face being visible in the background of a segment where Matthew McConaughey showed off his barbequing techniques. (I'm certain nobody was looking at me -- LOL)

Memorable and fun!

I completely forgot about that TV debut Petaloid! We may not have gotten a great deal of screen time but having Matthew within grabbing distance sure was nice, wasn't it? :-)
