This quilt is for my best friend's mother. It's another disappearing nine-patch, and I quilted it with a leaf pantograph.

I used a high-loft batting (1/2"), and I don't think I will do that again. It machine quilted well enough, but it's just a bit too puffy for my taste.

Mine will often shed leaves with the transition of moving to the inside. Can be a sign of change of conditions or dormancy. Shedding of leaves can just be a natural process of sinensis, also. Usually shedding from the lower extremities first and possibly moving upwards to tip. I keep mine in south facing light while inside and most do not lose their leaves. A good sign to reduce watering though when this happens. The little guys will benefit from stronger light levels than the older plant atleast for their first winter. Rick

Not the ideal method but safe enough since they got plenty of extra processing time. The lids would have released after you moved them to the new pan - they often pop and release multiple times - and then re-sealed again. Still best to avoid this in the future. Dave

Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! Amazing granite. I like how you wrapped it up under the window just behind the sink. Your whole house is beautiful. Quite a successful remodel! I feel badly that I don't have more to say, because it isn't related to how much I love what you've done. It's just all great as a whole, which is a very positive thing. It looks like a wonderful place to hang out and live.

YOU GO GIRLIE!! I have one more tree to put in the dining room...but I can't find it...How the heck do you lose a 5 foot tall Christmas tree box? It's gotta be in the attic... I baked oatmeal scotchies last night...their ok...No Bakes...their fabulous...Marshmellow Treats...my boys insist on them every year...Ick but they love them...and Choklit Fudge...WITHOUT NUTS...(Its mine...alllll mine!)... Today is wrap day...I'd rather have my gums scraped but since we're keeping gifts at a minimum it should go by pretty quick... My house is fairly clean except for the kitchen...it's a constant on going battle but by tonight it'll be clean... Oh shoot...you mentioned laundry...DANG...I forgot that there's a load in the washer...!!

Very cheerful and energetic!

How did-you do the label? Is it printed directly on the fabric?!?

BTW, I think I just used some of the same polka dot. I love that it's printed on an irregular grid.

I posted my method in the "This quilt now has a home" thread, but I will copy/paste here, too:

Cannahavana - Rebecca, I use the Bubble Jet Set system. I soak the fabric in the Bubble Jet Set solution, let dry, and then I iron it onto freezer paper and trim to 8.5x11". Then I run it through the printer. Wait 30 minutes, peel from the paper and rinse with their rinse agent. Let dry, press, and you have a label.

There are printer fabrics out there, and they work OK, but I found them much stiffer than I wished. The Bubble Jet Set system allows me to use whatever fabric I want, so I can match the backing of my quilt.
