On the desktop, it's a photo of our cat--probably been on there 3-4 years at this point.

On the laptop it's just one of the preloaded things. A really intereting, very graphic modern sketch of a city scene in hot pink and purple. I just liked it and you don't really spend much time looking at the wallpaper anyway, so left it alone.

I used to change my PC's wallpaper seasonally, but since I love that photo of the cat.... and since I have way too much on my plate these days....

Mine is also a furbaby. A lovely closeup of George, one of our cats, that DH took when he was trying out a new camera. I like to change my desktop every couple of weeks, and it is nearly always a photo of a family member (furbabies included).

A beautiful picture of a swan that casey_nfld posted a couple of months ago and she so graciously said that I could use. Bofore that I had a cardinal that someone had posted on KT and has given me permission to use, before that a picture of my furbaby TC.

I just put an ISU football poster-like picture up as my wall paper. What I really want is a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge but I don't know where to get it. Does anyone know a good site?
Also, as Kay mentioned, I would like to know how to use a picture as my wallpaper.

I've had the same picture for the past 4 years, it's of my black lab Cosmo wearing a hawaiian lei. We lost him to cancer last year.

I change mine every few days, right now it's this one.

Mine has been one of Casey's for almost a year now. It is a pink flower petal with a drop of water on it that has the reflection of the entire flower. Beautiful!

Tomorrow we are leaving for a 3 day visit to Duluth. The shore is very different there! DH wants to watch the big ships come in to the Harbor and under the lift bridge.

I use Webshots, with my own pics. It changes the wallpaper every 15 minutes. I LOVE it. It also runs my screen-saver.

I just have the Inspiron light gray background that is my computer's default desktop. I don't like clutter on my computer. I only have 4 icons on my desktop currently. Tomorrow it may be only three. I prefer accessing everything from the start menu. I keep most stuff hidden except for tabs when I'm browsing.

It's not all like this hayjud, but part of it is. We're in the Michigan U.P. on the Keweenaw peninsula, as far north as you can go in Michigan. None of the shore is rough here, like the north shore north of Duluth. But both shores are beautiful. I could look at the different faces of Superior all day long!

I have a large pink peony as my wallpaper, but my screen savers change every few seconds, and consist of most of my saved pictures.

Mine changes regularly using the pics of the day of whosever catches my fancy.

A few years ago, we drove along the South shore and went out on that peninsula. I remember what a surprise it was to find a VERY different beach area. It must be very cold water! Lake Surperior is the deepest of the Great Lakes.

Try right-clicking on a blank spot on your desktop.
Click Properties. Click Desktop tab then Browse.
You'll find your picture and then Apply. Then OK.

This should work for you.

I also have a lot of wallpapers and photos stored in my "Pictures" folder, so I can change the wallpaper often.

I have Vista, and to put a new wallpaper on the computer, I right-click on the desired picture, then click on "Set as Desktop Background". Really easy....

I tend to change as the mood strikes, usually once or twice a year. I have on that I like to use at Christmastime and other times, whatever I like to see. Ships, weather, nature are usually popular topics for me. Currently, I'm using the Arthur Anderson. One of the Great Lakes freighters and was the ship accompanying the Edmund Fitzgerald when the big Fitz went down. The Anderson was a matter of miles behind the Fitz so the history is interesting to me. I enjoy going to Duluth and watching the ships. Physics fascinates me. That tons of steel can float or fly is interesting to me.
