LOOKING for: walnut or toasted salted nut snack

I have a bad afternoon snack habit. I would like to replace what I have been eating (things like potato chips) with some spiced nuts. Walnuts would be my top choice: they are supposed to have great health benefits. I like their natural taste, too, but think they could be zipped up a bit. Or a mix of almonds and walnuts, etc.

I'm thinking something I could toast in the oven, with a little oil or butter, just a little salt, and some seasonings like garlic. I've tried the flavored salted nut mixes from places like Trader Joes; but they are either way too salty or too spicy (hot). I'd rather make it myself and be able to control what went into it. I have no diet restrictions that limit salt or fats.
