Kitchen Cabinets and Professional Painters?
Comments (2)You will get a different answer from each painter as to what they think is best. Some even still like to use oil based paints. Personally I would go with a high end 100 percent acrylic paint in a satin finish....like Grahams Ceramic, Pro Classic from SW, BM's Waterborne Satin Impervo or Aura, Muralo Ultra, C2 and Cabinet Coat are all good choices. A high end oil based primer or acrylic primer should also be used. Cabinet painting is not the best place for using cheap paint so I would tell the Behr guys no thanks....See MoreQuestion about sink base cabinets and Apron front/farm sinks
Comments (12)I have almost NO room at all under mine. The garbage disposal just about fills it. In fact, if you look closely on the left door you can see the black marks were it rubs against the inside of the door. The GC had to rout out some relief to get the door to close completely. I also had to carefully wrap all the hanging cords around the drain pipe to clear a bit of storage space above the pipe for the fertilizer and watering bottle for my plants. Still, I got the sink and the look I wanted that has the sink sitting forward, seemingly on the legs (that's what brought the disposal up against the door). Think about what you want under there. I could have gotten a smaller disposer (I compost so use it infrequently). And I don't use a lot of cleaners. I also don't have things under there like instant hot water or a soap dispenser -- just the guts of an airswitch. If you want those things think about where they'll all go. All in all I'm very happy with the look and the storage works for me. But you should be aware going in that it's sparce!...See MoreHoney Oak, White Appliances, Gray Granite?
Comments (5)I have honey oak cabinets and white appliances. Grey does not compliment honey oak. You still have many options. Black looks great, most of the greens look good, and just about everything in between. You need to visit a granite yard and bring a cabinet door or drawer with you. You'll know right away which colors would work with your oak once you hold the door up to the stone. Have fun! \...See MoreAre panel ready dishwashers inherently flawed?
Comments (22)Kenmore appliances are sourced from various manufacturers (Whirlpool, Frigidaire/Electrolux, Bosch, LG, Samsung) ... Sears itself doesn't manufacture anything. It's not an overly serious risk to buy a Kenmore product if the aesthetics of one catches your fancy, and bank on not having trouble with it during the warranty period ... after which any competent independent appliance service can do repairs....See MoreUser
