Spoken like a true salesman! Emission standards? Warranty? Really? Parts are a certain reminder that we live in a global economy. It was cool to see the new Tecumseh people source the carb in the US. Yep, I paid more- but it made the engine run like in never could have w/ the knock off (your word) carbs that were only available as of late. Does the word knock off only apply if the OEM doesn't sign off on it?Why when Tecumseh was building engines did the carb come from the Czech Republic and now that they are dead come from the US? With the same logo cast into the body? Hmmm...On the other hand, I can buy genuine OEM belts (made in China)for a John Deere or a American Yard Products- or I can put on a Thermoid made in USA that is the same fit from Stens. Which do I feel better putting on? I do install lots of OEM parts, but I'm not afraid to install aftermarket either. Somethings I won't sub unless I have to, it's true. I buy shop packs of the Briggs spark plugs as they are good plugs, gaps come real close etc- but it doesn't say made in anywhere. Says KED and LDE? Ran across an aftermarket anyone supplier called AEP. Bought a truck alternator, and thought I had seen them before. Used some of their starters on Briggs for a spell when I couldn't get the OEM. Imports through a company in MN. Sorry for the rant Ev. I've gone to great lengths to get OEM filters for my stuff before also. I'm just not keen on scare tactics from the other poster.

Mike....I'm ready to cry!! As soon as I saw this post, I clicked on your link only to not find Peanut. I had that happen once before a while ago. I saw Peanut advertised and then when I clicked on it to order it, I got a message saying Product not available. I e-mailed Eddie about it but he just sent me an e-mail saying it was not available but yet again, this was some time ago. I'm still gonna send ya a big hug for keeping me in mind. One of these days when I'm six feet under, it will be available. I was all set to order it even tho our weather has turned really nippy. Our high today was 44 but I'd even drive down and get it so it wouldn't have to be mailed!! That was so sweet of you to think of me. Boy, when I saw your post, I yanked out my plastic so fast to order it. Linda

With so many references to "Chair", you got to have good "seat-of-the-pants" judgement. I go to the Arnold frequently. To study worthy trees and shrubs that ought to be in commerce but which are not in commerce. The future for these ommited trees is retail ready at the box store! The Arnold Arboretum just published a new 'Inventory of Living Collections' book in 2003 without checking to see if the plants are still there. Plenty of them are gone and a few are there that are not listed. The present Director Cook ruffled a lot of feathers when he restored the grand old administration building, putting plenty of offices out into the cold temporarily, and sold off most of the underutilized Case Estate in Weston.

That's funny Stacy.I use to have a poodle that loved salad but would pick out anything that wasn't lettuce,tomato,carrots or cheese. We were at DS's for 3 weeks and took our "newest" little pup.She's 10 months old and suppose to be a Chihuahua but I think she is part Dachshund.Anyway,I would take my jewelry off and put it on the table beside my bed.One evening I was heading to the bathroom and saw something shinny on the floor in the hallway.It was one of my earrings.Didn't think much about it because sometimes I put them in my pocket if I'm not in the bedroom when I take them off and have been known to lose one along the way.Later,heading to the ladies room again,there lay my watch in the bedroom doorway.After a little spying and detective work,I discovered my little Izzy is a jewelry thief!LOL Now I am careful to zip the jewelry up in a little bag.
