what surface will the pool be? Pebbletec, plaster, what color?
The raised bb might look nice with the tile that is the water line tile, might not break up the flow from the water up, if that makes sense?
I do not believe that the salt would be a problem for flagstone, I have not seen any problems.
Auto fill lines on both the pool & spa are a must, 2 skimmer is normal for that size pool, make sure pump is 2 speed- CA requires it in 2008 it is more efficient also.
I don't have ozone in the pool but it does work well for the our above ground hot tub.
Make sure to sit in the spa when it is being plumbed so you can ask them to put jets where you would like them, in an ingroung gunite spa once its done there's no chaning them. Make sure you get a quality pool sweep, and if available a remote for turning spa and or cascades off, on from house would be cool too. A cover for the spa is a good idea, it can get expensive to heat an in-ground spa up and then loose the heat.

us a pool shark pool sweep. Not sure if it's a real good one but I guess I'll find out.I am getting a remote that
will run just about everything.
Also, does anyone know what size plumbing would work best
with the 4 x 160 pump. The pb thinks 2" would work fine,
but myself and the plumber are thinking 2 1/2 " for better
flow with this pump. Any suggestions?? The equipment is going to be located about 15-20ft. from pool and spa.
One more question, should the pumps be on pads or can
they be put on the new concrete I'm going to pour? The reason I ask is that I had concrete removed where the equipment is going and planned on repouring after all the plumbing is stubbed up and then setting the equipment on it. I came home the other day and there were these precast
pads sitting on the dirt were the equipment will be.I haven't had a chance to ask the pb about it yet, but do
they use those pads and then I pour around them?

Equipment is usually on it's own pad, with the plumbing coming up just in front of the pad, never encased in concrete. I don't know any builders using the precast pads but they are out there. and equip should be anchored to the pad.
2" plumbing is standard unless a specific line is going to run a swimjet then that line would be much larger, I am not sure what you mean by 4 x 160 pump. 2 speed w 1.5 or 2hp is the usual around us. 15-20ft away from the pool for the equip is normal. Have fun with your project! What color pebble?
White helps make the water more "bright" blue really pretty but shows more w/ leaves & dirt, etc. darker colors help make more deep "color" to the water also nice. :)

The 4x160 is a pump made from Pentair that has 4 preset
speeds, I think from 450 rpm to 3450 rpm. Then in between those settings there are up and down buttons so you can adjust those preset speeds to meet your needs. Like you can
set the lower speed for cleaning,then the next speed for a water feature and the higher speed for the spa. I'm using it basicly to clean pool and run spa. Then the 1.5 hp is
just for the cascades. I haven't decided on color of stone yet, thinking of Ocean Blue or Turtle Bay. Anyone have those colors out there that can give me an opinion?
Also, has anyone used precast coping that can share info with me? Nothing has been done yet, so I could still go with poured in place coping. The reason I like the thought of precast is that the coping would be less likely to crack than poured in place coping.
