Comments (143)These guys are scumbags. They shipped me product that wasn't the size they claimed it would be. Terrible customer service all around. I asked if fruit would come from the plants ordered the first year and they said yes. They lied. Also, the prices are not as good as you think because like I said when the stuff arrives its small junk. Almost everything I ordered is now dead because the root systems on them sucked. Only 4 plants survived out of the 14 ordered. Also, we run a large farm with a annual flower plant business so we are not noobs....See Moreshutters vs wood blinds to keep the light and view outside
Comments (34)They are only three months old so look new. Absolutely no problems and the quality is very good. They operate very smoothly. I did custom order through Penney's. I first did my internet research and had several quotes online. The sales rep was able to beat all my quotes. It was nice to able to see the various blinds in person, then I brought home the sample books to match color. That proved difficult with the tiny samples but I wanted neutral and am happy with the results. You have the choice of separate head rails like I did, or a single head rail. They are easy to clean though I have not needed to yet. I haven't decided if I will put my drapes back up as I'm enjoying the clean look right now. Mine are 3/8" double cell, 40"x72". Each blind was $268 +tax. The top-down/bottom-up function does increase the price but I feel it was worth it for my application. Comments (10)I can totally understand why you cannot change the blinds. Can you perhaps get matching ones for the great room lower windows to block the west sun? I know that Hunter Douglas makes remote control ones that run off one control. You could use them interior mounted for the higher windows. A coworker got them for her top windows in her foyer that face the west and she loves them. If you got matching ones on the family room bottom windows to your kitchen shades that would give some continuity to those adjoining spaces and you wouldn't need the drapes to have to close. That would save you a lot of money in material. With all the online retailers, I would think it is possible to find drapes. However, it may be pricey even if they are stock. But, I really think that would give a majestic look to your room....See MoreAny recent experience with Blinds, SelectBlinds, etc
Comments (2)I've used both Smith&Noble(S&N) and SelectBlinds recently. S&N seems to be unable to fill an order correctly. If you do a search on this Home Forum, you should be able to find threads where others have the same complaint. Their product is excellent; their fulfillment time is excellent; the customer service stinks. They were not knowledgeable before I placed the order. I had questions about their products which they were unable to answer. They did replace items as warranteed. SelectBlinds had excellent customer service before the sale. I received samples of woven blinds the day after I ordered them. Fulfillment was fast and correct. I would definitely order again from SelectBlinds - from S&N I would only order if they were the exclusive dealer on an item I wanted. Helene...See Morekitchendetective
