is anyone receiving the mailed sales ad?
First they are late, then they just don't arrive.

For the sale that started June 17th, I got the flyer on the 19th and the 50% off coupons end the 21st for one of them and the 23rd for the other.
I find that everything I usually want is already on sale so I can't use the 50% coupon anyway. Also with the high cost of gas it cost me $6 roundtrip to go there so there's not much sense driving up if I will only save $5 unless I have a bunch of errands up that way.

I used my 50% off coupon on a Ott-Lite and saved $90. But thats one time. You're right about most of the store being on sale all the time. I'm making a wall hanging that takes tons of colors so I gave my daughter the 40% off coupon that was still good and she bought a fat eighths roll for me. One thing I do is print off the coupons on line and take all my daughters with me that way I can use three coupons at once. They each have to pay but it saves me money.

I think the coupon is really a bait...to make us want something that is not on sale. However, I totally agree with you that most things are on sale, but not at 50% off, so they are making sure we can't use them easily! Darn!!!

A NOTE TO DIANNE...sign up at JoAnn website and get those coupons on your computer. I use an alternative address and then I know exactly where they are. Some things I do not want in my daily mail box. The link is below. Then look down the left side, near the bottom, to sign up. This will help cover all bases if the print ad does not arrive. And you can print more than one coupon, for your daughters.

Ever since the Joann superstore opened near me, our Sunday newspaper includes flyers from Joann's including coupons. Come to think of it, I think the flyer I used to get in the mail has stopped coming.

Like Susiequilt, I measure my trips in how much it costs in gasoline. The closest Joann's is $9 away, so there's no savings once I get there. I still get the flyers and if I'm going to be in the area anyway, then I'll stop in, but I've really been disappointed the last few times I've been there. The closest Walmart is $3 away and still has a nice sized fabric dept.....good thing for me. We have really cut down on just jumping in the van and heading out somewhere.

I measure my trips in gas cost, too. I can not go anywhere for under $10 so I run all my errands on one day. My predicament is that I homeschool and my kids want to attend activities (church youth activities and soccer) and it is very costly to drive them there come home then pick them up. I can't just hang around until they are done cause I have other responsibilities as well. Because of the cost of gas my quilting as suffered since my sewing budget is where I take from to pay for the gas!

I do get mine in the mail and also with the Sunday paper. But very seldom do I get to use them, every time I go, with coupons in hand, everything I want is on sale.....

I was looking at my sales flyer again this afternoon and noticed that it has a printed note above my address
":Sale dated material Please deliver between June 18 - 20, 2007"
The sale starts June 17th and they want it delivered between the 18th and 20th? What's up with that?

Ditto here! Mine says to deliver between June 18-20, 2007. Today is June 22. One of the 50% coupons has expired! I was told they suspect the printer is delaying delivery to the P.O. This is happening in other parts of the country. One store mgr said it is being investigated! I live in Ohio and I bet you live in another state.
I went to a JoAnn in another town and learned they are having the same problem, people complaining that the coupons arrive after the sale is over.

I now notice they are deducting the coupon when they print out the ticket at the cutting table, and not at the cash register. Maybe it would be good to ask there if they will honor the coupon, that arrived in the mail with an expired date.
