90 degrees here today. Could you send me a little snow to cool me off, please?

Tulsa here. We had a bit of sleet mixed with a few snow flakes yesterday. That was totally unexpected and probably record setting. My neighbors who have set out gardens have had to cover them up several times. It's shaping up to be a nicer day today. Sun and temps around 50 degrees. I expect this year will probably be one where we pretty much go from winter to summer.

My thoughts exactly - will it ever end? Could be worse though - at least it's not accumulating like southern MN.

We got a really heavy wet snow this morning in NW Arkansas. First May snow in over 100 years, I think. It was weird to see snow on bright green leaves and bushes and vines. My poor hummingbirds!

In Saskatchewan (Canada) they got hit with snow and blizzard conditions. I feel horrible for them, and you who are getting extraordinary amounts of snow into May. I'm worried about the flooding that may occur, and my heart breaks for the farmers.

We've had a glorious spring in Ontario

Well Good news from ND Sun out and snow almost gone. I do wish all of you the best and we are sending you sunshine and warmer weather.

We needed the A/C for two nights early this week. After that, we're back to heating. It's 45F with very light showers this afternoon.

I hear you about the snow. Yesterday we got 17 inches in Wisconsin and it's been snowing on and off all day today. I keep telling people not to worry because summer always comes, but it's looking like this might be the year with no summer. I too feel sorry for the farmers. I have a friend that is having to get the hay from Canda. She's an organic farmer so she can't just go anywhere to find that her feed.

Here in north Missouri we had 4 inches of snow overnight. The weight on my beautiful fully-bloomed Bradford pear was too much and it broke in half this morning. The neighborhood handyman just finished cleaning it up for me with his chain saw and pickup truck. So sad.

The electricity was off for 4 hours for our town and several towns nearby today. Some people in the country had no power for about 10 hours.

We are expecting it to warm up through the night - I think its 35 degrees now - and be 20 degrees warmer tomorrow.

Crazy May.

we been in il for the past 3 days and hardly any fiels have been plowed...then the had a ton of rain in the west part of the state....

Tuesday of this week I planted perennials it was in the 80's. My tomatoes were blooming and looking great. Today it is 50 degrees going to the lower 40's tonight. I have the tomatoes covered with tarps. My 5 gallon buckets were to small to cover the plants. A friend planted 3,000 tomato plants last week. I am sure he will lose all of them. So very sad. This is a record breaking low for us. I am wishing for sunshine again. Wishing good weather for ya'll.

Get used to it. This is the way weather will be from now on. We are in a bad drought here. I think the midwest one moved here and we're inches below with no snow at all this winter. Sunny and windy, everything is planted but watering is a daily occurrence.

A news report from NASA says climate change is resulting in greater extremes: Dry areas are getting dryer; Wet areas are getting wetter.

I don't know *where* we are in that spectrum. I would have said 'moderate' (30 miles north of Chicago), but after last summer's extreme drought...maybe there will be no more 'moderates'.

The pears along our driveway loved our two days of 70's and 80's. It was like watching popcorn pop, the way they went from buds to full bloom. Our magnolia is full out, even dropping some blooms. Everything is hurry-up-greening, tired of 'holding it all in' during our long, cold Spring.

Sorry about your pear, littlebug. A friend in Denver said her fruit trees had to be enjoyed the same day they bloomed, because they'd be covered in snow the next day -- but at least hers didn't split. Our pears are columnar -- are Bradford's more 'spreading'?

Beautiful, heavenly, sunny 75-80 here all week. Seattle no less. We pay for our good weather for sure, but when it comes, we celebrate.

We took out our new toy today, a ski boat, my first one and it's a childhood dream.
