I saw this quilt in a Connecting Threads catalog, so I never looked up the pattern. The catalog did call it "Ribbon Quilt". It turns out they made 6 inch blocks. I made 9 inch blocks. Like I said it's just 8 half-square triangle blocks around a solid center.

I'm impressed. It must be a real challenge to learn to use the treadle. I haven't even tried mine yet! I like the quilt very much and think you did a great job on the back too! Kate

Anita, thread sort of depends on the machine and what it runs best with. My FMQ machine is really fussy and I still struggle to find what to use. I use all cotton as a rule. But, on this one I used Bottomline by Superior in the bobbin. It is finer than most and you get more on the bobbin. I think it's polyester. On top I used plain cotton, cone says Signature 40wt on it but often I use King Tut because my machine likes it best. I probably was out of the off white color that day. I really want my machine to use heavier cotton threads like 12 or 20 weight but still can't seem to get the settings right to keep it from breaking. I'll figure it out one day.
