For large pots I use plastic drink cups filled with clay. The best description of my other idea would be best pictured SEE BELOW The empty can next to the seed grown meiwa kumquat tree will get a citrus tree in it. The cut off can with the hole in its side collects excess water so it works well inside on furniture and provides an air hole to fit a blow-dryer to blow air into the roots. Roots need fresh air on a regular bases or the plants can stagnate and can even die in bad cases. The link below shows a meiwa kumquat tree grown from seed using this aeration / water collection system. It's growth rate double when I set this up. This works with drink cups up to and beyond 55 gallon drums and keeps ground insects from working up in your potted plant. We paid $350 to have two feet put on one of our kitchen cabs ;~O This was to the cabinet company that was installing them. If you can add them yourself, you'll probably save a bundle of money. It looked very easy, as I was there when they installed them. Both feet had to be shortened a tad, but the guy said this was normal. They took out the bottom drawers and screwed them in from there.

dasisgut, The loss of space is in the drawers mainly. If you were to remove that frame above and below your drawers, you would gain quite a bit of space. In addition, in the past when I had framed cabs, things would sometimes get caught on the upper frame when I pulled the drawer open. I don't think any one is out to "malign" framed cabinets. Just saying there are advantages to both. The advantage to framed is the look - some people like the frames showing between the doors. The advantage to frameless is a gain in space and accessibility. And, as I said above, that space and accessibility varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, so it's best to measure and judge based on the brands you are considering. A blanket statement does not cover all brands. If you're happy with your cabs, who cares what the rest of us think?

amarantha, sorry I am not in the FKB, I did my kitchen 5 years ago and never learned how to post the pics. One of these days... anyway, i just went and looked at that section of my kitchen. I have the feet just like you've drawn on the sink base but then the cabinet to the left only has the left foot and the cabinet to the right of the sink (and DW) only has a right foot. So it all looks good together and like michelle said not too many feet! 5 years ago, Bosch had what I wanted, hidden controls, stainless interior and quiet, quiet, quiet. the Asko and Miele were a few hundred dollars more so i went with the Bosch, no complaints. One more thing, I looked at your picture again and the birds eye view looks like you have the sink recessed from the cabinet to the left and the DW. is that true? If it is, you are going to have to have some kind of DW panel on the left side of your DW as they are not finished on the sides Good luck
