Pinecone, I have known people who just use the built-in Windows firewall, however the downside is it does not monitor outbound traffic. I would like to think that most, but not all, people would agree that a third party firewall that monitors both inbound and outbound traffic is the best way to go. " As Luis stated Zone Alarm will present you with a pop-up window letting you know that an application or program wants to access the internet. It will give you the option of 'Yes' or 'No' and list the application that wants access, such as 'Internet Explorer' or whatever programs you have. There is also a 'More info' button in the alert. If the program is one you recognize and use all the time, you can click 'Yes' and select the box 'Remember this info_______' to keep from being bothered with the same request all the time. If it is a program you don't recognize I would click 'No', but not necessarily select 'Remember this info'. If the request keeps coming up and you don't recognize the program and the 'More info' button does not give you the info you need you may want to 'google' and see what it says. Please tell him not to use any passwords with it this way and definitely not to do any type of banking or financial transactions. the fact it is not allowing him to install security programs is HELLO A HUGE RED FLAG telling him all is NOT well. Perhaps its sending via your ?Outlook Express? and the Send button has disappeared for some reason from the menu bar. Right click a blank spot on the menu bar area and choose customize ... then on left panel in the window that opens you will see send... move that to the right side to add it to the menu bar. Pretty simple once you see it.

Last month I was able to view IncrediMail stationery when opening my mail from Yahoo mail client. This only lasted about two weeks and I'm now back to not being able to see them. It was really neat for that time even though they weren't exactly in IM form and they changed the view of the email. For example, some made the standard words (From, To, Subject, etc.) larger or smaller and also changed their positions (just like in IncrediMail), depending on the graphic. Plus it took them a few moments to load but they were there in plain view. Hey, I have a witness! LOL Anyway, does anyone know why suddently I was able to view the graphics (letters, stats) and why now I am again not able to view them? I'm not really sure I recall properly, but I think I had downloaded an IE v.6 update. (I know I absolutely did not install v.7.) Even so, the update would still be on my computer and functioning. I just don't understand what I did wrong or rather what I did right LOL to be able to view them and now I can't. Hope I explained that well. I'm running Windows XP. Has this happened to anyone else? Is anyone else running IE able to view IM letters from Yahoo mail?
