Looking for certain magnets................

Good Morning fellow KTers!

I am looking for magnets from all states. They are in the shape of the state and have interesting places show on each map.

So far I have California, Maryland and New Jersey and I would like to collect all 50 states.

I wanted to enclose a pic with all of the three I have but I am having trouble with Photobucket :-(.

If anyone finds one of their state please let me know.

I think it would interesting way for Makayla and Kaden to learn the map/states.

Here is a site where you can order them.

Also a jig saw puzzle of the USA would be a good help.

Haven't seen any pics of those cuties for a while.

There are a few collections on ebay. Just put state magnet set (or collection) in the search engine. Much cheaper than buying them separately.

Looking for a certain shape & color hosta

I know you are showing only this one side of your bed, but how about rounding out the bed on the other side, with a couple of medium sized gold leafed hosta with the green margins? I'm speaking here of a Dick Ward, and Zounds which is its parent and solid gold. It is a stiffly dependable hosta. Take a look at it. Then another gold over there will lighten up the space considerably. Incidentally, Liberty is a wonderful choice and it is the mascot picture at the top of our forum's front page. Beautiful.

Mimosa in East L.A. However, the owner doesn't use the name Lancetilla. He has them labeled Elephant Mango. He says he does this for his Asian customers. I know he sells wholesale Pine Island mangos so he might have some in the back with the original P.I. tag.

Something that might work is to get the state jigsaw puzzle set (that Sue mentioned) and affix magnets to the back of each state. That way they are all the same size and will 'fit together' on the fridge. The kids will not only be able to recognize the shapes but also put them where they go.

You can get magnets at craft stores like Michaels (use the 40% off coupon that comes in the flyer).

I saw one of Michigan (even a second little one of
the UP to place above it)at a touristy stop last
year.

I know this doesn't help you - but I thought it was cute,
and had forgotten about it. LOL

I'm sure they are out there - in the little gift shops
at least.

Deb, I know there are truck stops near you. They usually have them, but I can send you Ohio when I get home. Just send me an email reminding me in about 2 weeks, ok?

I don't know about the magnets but I would like to recommend The Game of the States board game by Hasbro.

I covers geography but also helps with math skills. It's a great game for 5 to 8 year olds.

I will check to see what I have as for many years, while we were traveling in the RV, I collected what you are talking about. If I have any, I will be glad to send them to you, but will let you know first.

I think I may have discovered a way to post a pic of the magnets. Check it out!
