I think, I will keep mine as they appear. For years I tried and deluted myself in to believing it worked... but didn't... Estee Lauders Perfectionist.

I am fazing out all kinds of products... cause I realize, they either don't work, or at least don't work for me.

Same with food stuffs. I am no longer buying food stuff with ingredients I can't pronounce, or do not know. I am now for "the real thing".

I read an article that said to rub the inside of a banana peel on the blemished skin. Leave on for 5 minutes and wash off. Crazy as it sounds, it worked on some brown spots/age spots I had on my legs. Worth a try.

None of these things work. All those magazine and TV ads you see have photoshopped 'after' images. Save your money, enjoy your age. So many are denied the privilege of getting older...

Sorry, but the OTC products do not work. Re laser treatments, some people have found them effective, but you need to have the right type of skin - I do not. My skin is very thin.

My problem wasn't my face so much as the backs of my hands. I had several very age telling brown spots, freckles (some large) that I contributed to with years of gardening and offshore fishing. As much as my hands are in dirt, water, being washed, there doesn't seem to be a good way to keep sunscreen on them.

I had my hands lasered. Loved the results. That was 2005 or 2006, they are still clear.

Gosh, if I didn't have age spots you could see my veins even more clearly! I'm increasingly looking like a medical illustration of the circulatory system.

Those veins sure stand up, dark, and look like rivers with branches. At least when I have to have blood drawn, the technician has no trouble "finding" my veins.

I always worried about age spots on my hands and made an effort to 'sunscreen' them whenever I could. Well, here I am, pushing 80 and you can't see the age spots (that I mostly do not have) from the purple bruises. Seems like I cannot do anything without bruising myself!....... Oh, that's right.... I said when I get 'old' I will wear purple..... who knew .

Haha, linda, I laughed out loud at chisue's description too, because that's exactly how I feel as well! My hands look just like my last memory of my great grandmother's hands, when she passed away at 88, but I'm 30 years younger, lol! My skin doesn't age me too badly as I've stayed pretty much the same weight since my twenties and never been a sun worshipper, but my hands are a dead giveaway.

I've been using brown spot corrector for about 3 years for a spot up near my ear. Garnier and then Clinique. Neither have worked and between the 2, over $100 spent. Once the Clinique one is empty I will let it go and just accept it.

I've been having the laser/chemical peel done on my hands, with very good results. I'm a member of Groupon, so I'm able to get them done very reasonably...$50 for both hands. I've had two sessions, and one or two more should get the job done. The brown spots were very noticeable prior to treatment. I also use Obagi Clear Skin Bleaching & Corrector Cream in between treatments, but it alone didn't work as effectively.
