Today is election day for Canada.

I love Google's innovativeness for their logos, for every occasion.

(No, we do not vote in booths like this)

Yeah I thought of that when I saw the logo.....we don't use booths like that, I think that's an American thing.

Funny, when we voted last weekend in the advance polls I was telling Joe that when I first voted when I was 18 I was disappointed because I didn't get to go in a booth and pull the curtain across. That's what I thought polling booths looked like.....watching too much American tv I guess! LOL

I haven't see one of those for years--since I worked the polls in Indiana in the '70's. They may still use them some places now, though.

Wow! Jodi, I swear I'm not blind. I was using my Firefox browser and the Google logo is small and on the upper left and there was no joystick. When I clicked on the logo, it took me to a Google search screen full of Jules Verne hits. After reading your response to my question, I opened Internet Explorer and can see the whole thing there. Who'd have thought it would be that different from one browser to another! Thanks!

I didn't think about looking at it. Thanks for the reminder. They do some great logos. One of my favorite commercials is a Honda Commercial. This was shot in real time with no CGI involved in the sequence. It required 606 takes and cost $6 million to shoot and took 3 months to complete. I can't help but think of the pressure on the camera operator to not goof it up! Red Green has a lot of great "Rube Goldberg" type creations but has never quite matched the Honda commercial!

I have voted in them...but not for a few years. Now it is just out in the open and I don't like it.

Pattico, are you not blocked somehow for privacy?

In ours, you go to a single table that has a large cardboard election voting sign on it, so that you are completely shielded from view.

Then you come out and deposit your ballot in the box in front of one of the election workers.
