I read in the paper that today is Charles Dickens' 200th birthday. He asked, upon his death, to not have any statues erected of himself, that he would prefer statues of his characters. I remember my English teacher in high school told us Dickens' writing style is very "wordy" because he was paid by the word.

Wow! Jodi, I swear I'm not blind. I was using my Firefox browser and the Google logo is small and on the upper left and there was no joystick. When I clicked on the logo, it took me to a Google search screen full of Jules Verne hits. After reading your response to my question, I opened Internet Explorer and can see the whole thing there. Who'd have thought it would be that different from one browser to another! Thanks!

When Google has a special logo, lay your cursor over the picture and you will see that it tells you what the occasion is. Click on the logo and you will get a list of sites for more information. Sue
