Rose Question

Okay, I know I could go to the garden boards, but I like it here better.

Does anyone know if it's possible to transplant a moderately mature rose bush. One that's maybe 3 feet tall? There's one (maybe more--I only noticed the one) at the new house, and I'm extremely allergic to roses. Would love to let someone else take it to enjoy. But was wondering if that offer would be futile--if it was likely the bush wouldn't survive.

Anyone here a rose expert?

If it's likely to be a successful operation, I'm going to suggest that the previous owner take it, if she wants.
