I have a steam mop and a clothes steamer. I haven't touched my iron since I bought a clothes steamer well over a year ago. So I do steam, but not in the way you're asking.

Paula, you don't use the steam mop, just the clothes steamer?

Mine has a mopping attachment. It does sterilize the floor, but sure makes a water mess to clean up.

This thing will steam clothes also, but I only iron dress shirts and slacks so they have a pressed finish.

Pawprint, what do you clean with it? I just cannot imagine what I would do with a steamer.

I had a floor steamer (a cheap one), but I didn't like how long it took me to do the floors plus it tended to leave streaks.

I had a fabric steamer too and I ended up spilling water all over my carpet and about burned myself... so I returned that. It was a cheap one though with a short hose so maybe a better brand/style would work without so many issues?

Now if this post had been about steaming vegetables... I would give a big thumbs up to the microwave steam bags. :-)

I do use my steam mop for my floors. I love it.

I steam clean the bathroom once a month. It gets the usual once a week but I had using chemicals. I have a commercial clothes steamer that I used when I was sewing for extra income. It was so easy to hang drapes and just steam them to get the travel wrinkles out.

I'd love to try one before I buy one cause like you...it's so easy to just pull the cleaner out with a rag and go at it!

Here's what my book says.
