A friend at work just became a gramma for the first time, so I made her this bag. She really likes it and I told her I made it as a gramma bag and it was up to her whether or not she gave it to her daughter, or kept it to use herself. I think she is going to keep it.

That is a darling bag.Love the colors you used. I've made several raggy quilts & know my DDs would love a tote made with raggy squares.Did you use a pattern? Thanks for sharing.PL

Both are absolutely adorable! I, too, am quite enamored with the border on your quilt. I will add that to my "inspiration" photos. Thanks! A friend gave us a changing/play mat with felted wool batting -- I *love* that thing! It's super easy to use and wash. We didn't bring it to England, and it's one of the things I've missed terribly. interfacing - help!

If you are going to use iron on interfacing, I find that the sheer weight Pellon works the best. If you need a bit more stand up power, I would still use the sheer weight, but put it on the back of both the outside and lining fabrics. I have never been happy with the other weights/or generic brands. All that being said, there are lots of other weights of Pellon that I do use, but for very specific situations.

Thanks everyone. No pattern, just the squares put together. The red thing inside will hopefully hold a bottle upright, but I have no idea if it will work.

That is a very nice bag. My friends are becoming grandmas so i make a baby quilt and give it to them as a grandma's quilt. they can either keep it for when they babysit or give it to the baby.
