Update on surgery

They took her in about ten last night, she just got out a few minutes ago. They removed all of the glass from her face and arms, had to make a new eyelid. Thank goodness her sight will be fine. Still no word on the baby.

Sorry, I got home and lets just say I was a little bit out of it. I definately couldn't be an alcoholic or drug addict, I feel so out of it. Let me tell you that it is worse than a c-section, and at least that way you get to take a baby home. I am really sore all over my abdomen and it is nicely bruised. When I went in firt he said I would have no restrictions, little pain and could do what I wanted Baloney, no lifting for 3 days, 3 more days of pumping and no driving. My mom has the younger 3 and my MIL has Rhiannon and they are enjoying time with Grandma and Grandpa. Dan has been big help and watches over me to make sre I don't do so much. I could post some pics if anoyone wants to see. The incissions , I was surprised being laprascopic surgery the ammoun of holes, and the sizes and all the bruising. Other than sitting still it hurts anyway I move. Thank you for all the thoughts, sufloers and prayers, It is going to be some time before I et to feeling better. Just srng my ptty party Stacie

What an accident! So glad they both survived and that she is now out of surgery. A new eyelid...holy cow! They are so fortunate to be alive.

Your posts brought up some bad memories from 4 years ago...we also got the dreaded middle of the night phone call. My son was brought to very possibly the same hospital your son and future DIL are at. We came close to losing him, so I am certainly felling your stress! Praying for all of you, including your new grandbaby.

What wonderful news that her eyesight is OK. Prayers continuing for her and the baby.

Your post also hit home for me--I've gotten the dreaded middle of the night phone call twice...lost my husband when our son was 2 months old; lost our son when he was 40.

I just read your other thread, terilyn--how very frightening! I'm glad to read your dd finally had surgery and it sounds like they were able to fix her up pretty well. I hope they keep good tabs on the baby. Has your heartbeat slowed back to normal yet?? I hope healing goes well and quickly.

Wanda, I'm so sorry for the sorrows you've lived with. You must be a strong person.

They took the bandages off of her eye today, looks horrible right now but know it will heal. She should be released by the end of the week. Thanks for all the good thoughts.

terilyn, those tiny bitty babies are often just fine, they are so well protected by their mom in an early healthy pregnancy. Of course you wish he/she hadn't been subjected to anything that caused Mom trauma, but please don't worry needlessly. The pregnancy is intact, hopefully that means no issues to womb or baby....

Think positively. And try to get some rest, you've got to be running on adrenalin still ((((((for your whole family)))))
