My Labyrinth Quilt from the Retreat is finished..

Those at the retreat may remember that I sandwiched this. I'm finally done quilting it. This is the first quilt that I've gone out of my box. I tried some free motion quilting and it's not perfect by any means, but I'm happy enough with it. It is for my brother and his wife and they are happy, and that's all that matters.

Thank you, Marsha, for all the support on putting this together :-)

I'll post 2 more pictures in the next post.

Only 2 more days until we leave for Camp Cheerio! My sewing machine is ready to load into the RV and am still finishing up gathering my projects. I think it is easier to fly since you really have to limit what you bring! :) We head out Saturday morning and will meander south and east so we can arrive on the 9th. When I mapped it out, Tobey asked the crazy question of why are we going to Gastonia, NC??? I said to go to Mary Jo's, of course. He just laughed! Tobey said he would help tote things up and down the steps. We will have WIFI off and on throughout the trip, so I will try to check in! The block pattern is Grandmother's Puzzle. It can be found on Quilter's Cache. I made 20 of the blocks. Valerie, the label is done on my embroidery machine, then I cut it into a square, then folded the square into a triangle and sewed it into the binding when I was sewing it on. Bev...while the tee shirt is bright and very nice...the two black and white quilts turn out Terrific! I think they are stunning! Personally, I'd give one to first place cause that is an accomplishment in and of itself to go a 100 miles.... And one to the last place for shear perservance! Well done! V. Theresa, I had a solid all picked out for the binding (the rest of the fabric was a kit), but when I went to the cutting table, the striped one was sitting there. It has dog names and collars on it and I couldn't resist!! And when my daughter came over today, she grabbed it right off! I did share some of the edge clippings with the puppy and we play tug-a-war with it :-) Robbi

Your quilt turned out Perfect! It is so BIG to quilt yourself and you did a wonderful job. You should be very proud.

I'm sure you are happy to have it finished and in its new home.

Beautiful job! You certainly can't tell you have not done much FMQ - it looks wonderful. I am sure that your brother and his wife will enjoy it for years to come!
