Painted cabinets with Bianco Antico

I know that many of you have BA granite, which is what we will definitely have (already ordered and templated) in our pool house kitchen. I'm trying to decide on a color for the cabinets (existing inset shaker door), which will be painted soon and I'm aiming for a beige/ khaki color.

For those with the designer eye, the room has beadboard wainscoting that goes about 2/3's of the way up the wall and will be painted BM Linen White as will all the trim. The floors are a turquoise/grey tile and the walls above the beadboard will be a pale blue. I'm trying for a Nantucket look. the room will have a somewhat nautical vibe with blue and red accents. We have a huge 4th of July party every year.

I've got every paint chip card in the beige family and everything I try looks either too grey or too yellow. Anyone know a nice neutral beige that would look good with BA? Anyone have pics of painted beige cabs? I sure would love to see them! Thanks everyone!

BM Shaker Beige is one of the most neutral beiges I have seen- I love it! BM Manchester Tan is a lighter one that I like.

Shaker beige was my first thought. It seemed a little yellow. Then I tried Cotswold (AF line) which is just a tad too grey/cold. I'd love something in between.

Maybe a bigger sample of Shaker Beige will help. Thanks for the help!

Wow what a beautiful kitchen! I love the granite, the hood, and the windows flanking the stovetop. Can you explain how you got such a great deal on the hood? I'm so glad I stumbled across this post because I'm looking to use the exact same Aspen light from Circa Lighting for our master bedroom! We're going for a craftsman feel and the iron finish would work well with the iron handles on our dresser. My only concern is that there is no diffuser on the bottom which might might be too bright when we're laying in bed. The light isn't over the bed but centered off the end of the of the bed a few feet away. What is the wattage of the lights you have in there for those pictures? Do you think that fixture would work well in a bedroom?

kitchenaddict-my granite is called golden lapidus and DH and I love it but the delicatus would have allowed me to keep my old appliances which were white. I could have waited to replace them. Unfortunately, the white clashed with my granite so stainless is now sitting in my kitchen-smudges, fingerprints, and all!! The granite is in a category labeled Old World/Tuscan-very earthy colors-butterscotch, caramel, hot fudge brown, black, gray, some white, lots of sparkly things. When I saw the delicatus it was too late but it would have worked in my kitchen. BA is a very nice granite but I like something that's more off the beaten track. I've only seen one other kitchen with my granite on the finished kitchens web site. Haven't seen a lot of kitchens with delicatus but if you google delicatus granite it will bring up a page that has a link to an old post 08/08 talking about this granite with pics. You can see the kitchens of daki, iris16, and dd70. Good luck.

KA - How did your trip to the granite yard go? Did you find your slab? I agree that Delicatus and BA are cousins, if not siblings. Love the light color and the sparkles in both. Bee - I could look at pics of your kitchen and new backsplash all day long and never be bored. I do like the stingray a lot and was wondering if there might be a color that would look good with BA, as you and DonnaKay both went white and redroze is pretty close to white with her Ann Sacks tile. I need to get a variety of samples, but some of my early ideas will clearly not go with the BA (which I totally love by the way -- it looks fabulous with the cherry. It's far and away the home-run feature so far). Anyway, I'll try to get a sample of the stingray. My paint is silver sage and I think it would go with that too.

I have dark cherry cabinets and wanted biano antico granite but I have natural slate floors (which I love) and combination of the 3 looked off. We went with Golden Wave which will be installed in about 4 weeks! We are in the laborious stage of selecting sink,faucet, and back splash (think it will be tumbled travertine). Remember go with what you love!

Check out BM Baja Dunes. I have Bianco Antico in kitchen & powder room with white cabinets. Walls are painted Baja Dunes in powder room and it's a gorgeous color with BA. Not yellow and not cold looking. My kitchen is BM Cabot Trail another wonderful color but may be darker than you want.

I think BA slabs vary some that you need to really search
a Benjamin Moore deck to see if you can find the right
shades. It can be done, don't get discouraged but it will
take a little time.

I have walls painted BM stone hearth and I think it would look great up against my white Alaska. The two never meet, but check it out. It's definitely a grayer taupe.

people here seem to LOVE revere pewter with BA. have you looked at that?

Thanks for the help everyone.

I would say that my BA is more in the mushroom family although I only have a chunk about 1'x1'. It's a bit tricky to do a taupe/beige that's not leaning toward pink with this stone. I'm going to get some more samples tomorrow and try again (I've already done 5 samples that I'm not happy with). I think I'm liking the Baja Dune a lot. Will let you know.
