I live in OC. It is like watching a train wreck. Then DD and I would talk on the phone about it and gossip about the characters.

I remember my DD called when it first was going to be on to remind me to TIVO it. Then she called the day after it ran to remind me to watch it, saying I would be appalled at the awful parenting exhibited by these gals.

After 1 1/2 seasons of watching it, I couldn't stomach it any longer.

I watch all the housewives series. I too was appalled at Gretchen's remark regarding Vicky. She further explained herself on Andy Cohen's aftershow and said Vickey has been having health issues for 2 months but failed to do anything about it until the moment of Alexis' fashion show. Gretchen continued to make herself look like a fool. She also said she went to the hospital to see Vickey, while Tamara did not.

Alexis' fashions were certainly not designed for the everyday mom as she claims, maybe more like hooker moms. Almost every housewife is promoting something. I suppose they all want to be as lucky as Bethenney who sold SkinnyGirl margarita for millions.

Through out the past few seasons I always thought that Vicky treated Don like crap and her non-stop talk about how work was her priority. Why the heck is she so surprised that her marriage is over. Even her kids feel sorry for Don.

The New Jersey girls never fail to bring in the drama, the first episode looked like a scene from the Godfather lol.

Have only watched HW of Atlanta and DC!

Didn't see the end cos DH came home and turned on basketball, boo. But I know that Peggy and her creepy husband are in foreclosure or something close to that and I almost puked when he was talking at dinner about people not living within their means. I don't know why I watch that show, those people make me so mad. The women are plastic and the men are worthless.

I watch both the OC and NJ housewives -- just can't resist!

I think Gretchen should just learn to keep quiet more times than she actually does, esp in the Vicki-hospital situation (maybe Gretchen just wanted more screentime?). And although I think it was a good thing that she tried to talk to Slade about their future and the child-support issues he's facing, I can't see that moving Slade toward any direction that will keep them together, esp if she keeps "tweaking" him with that "tubba-wubba" name! (Which housewife do you think he'll move on to next?)

From what the editing of the series has shown me so far -- very little positive interaction between Vicki and her husband -- I guess my only sympathy for Vicki is that she became so focused on her job that she lost sight of everything else and it just crept up on her that her marriage was gone -- I think that we all can get wrapped up in daily routines and projects that we don't notice what's right beneath our noses. I wish we had the ability to look at the cutting-room-floor footage to see more of what Don is like so we could see a fuller picture of them. Vicki's certainly not had a great image on the show.

Regarding Alexis's fashions: I knew something was freaky when her husband showed up in a previous episode for the photo session and kept giving her instructions like (and I paraphrase!) "Stand with your legs a bit farther apart" and if I recall, something about posing so her butt stuck out a bit more. Not so sure that the fashions fit the traditional meaning of "haute couture," tho-- esp. that bikini!

Sleeper: Why do you think Peggy's husband is creepy? I think Alexis's is ...

(Why do we watch the show? Cuz like the messy-house shows, it makes us feel 10 times better about our own lives! Works for me! Cheaper than a psychiatrist!)

I am not impressed with how Vicky is portrayed or at least she portrays on the OC H.W. My sister in law think she looks like Vicky, yeah, I tell my sil you DO look alot like Vicky. What I don't tell her that she is a blank, blank, blank like Vicky!! By the way my sil in law does not look like Vicky. She just would think she does. LOL

I did like Gretchen, but lately she has had an attitude of better than anyone else. She thinks she is hot, hot, hot.

sheilajoyce, where are all those fancy homes? know i've been gone from ca for a long time (23 yr) but the oc i remember, was row upon row if modest tract homes...

Susan, they are newer mcmansions built in south OC. Originally, the women were all supposed to live behind the gates in Coto de Caza, but not all of them did. Now, apparently, they live in various less pricey areas of south OC such as Ladera. These are areas developed in the last 10 years.

Pammyfay, I think both of them are creepy! Alexis's husband is a pervert and I honestly don't know how a homely guy like that landed her. She is gorgeous, but the whole religious thing and the man as the ruler is so 1950s. Micah is a little hypocrite and always wanting to let everyone know how rich he is, but according to what I've read they are in foreclosure. And the whole episode with her getting her boobs re-done was sick! For that matter, I think Slade is creepy the way he allows Gretchen to control him and for the fact that he doesn't seem to see/support his poor little son with a brain tumor.

Sleeperblues, do you have one tV? If my hubs came in, while I was watching something and turn the channel to sports or anything....he would lose a hand.Did anyone see Lynn, from last season? It looked like she had more work done on her face, it looked tight, swollen and shiny.
I wonder just what the Husbands do for a living, like, Alexes's, (can't remember his name) Don and Mica. We know what Gretchen's SO does....not much. LOL
It is sad that after their beautiful marriage renewal ceremony last season, Vicky and Don seem to be in trouble. It is sad when one of the couple put more time and effort in their business than in the marriage.

I used to watch but don't anymore. I love Bethenny Ever After. I didn't watch her when she was on the Housewives but she cracks me up and I have no idea why. She's a train wreck but for some reason I really like that show.

Dotmom, yes we do have more than one TV but I didn't feel like going to the bedroom to watch. It was almost the end and I felt kinda dirty after watching those fools anyway, lol. It was really surprising behavior for hubs, he is usually much more cooperative. I didn't really care, otherwise I would have finished watching elsewhere.

Yea, I'll be watching. More and more, I really don't like Sonyea (sp?) She seem to have a case of arrested development. LOL. I sorta miss Bethany, and Jill is still just as Jr. high as she was last season, and I also can't stand "the Countless" and her holier than thou and know it all attitude. It looks like Ramona is developing a drinking problem, but that could be in the editing. I don't have an opinion of the new gal, the brunette, I don't remember her name. So, yes I';ll be watching, telling myself.........YOU REALLY NEED TO GET A LIFE, DOTTIE!!!!

Looks like Morocco will be a repeat of Scary Island. Can't wait!! I wonder how many times we will hear the words "Where's my Pinot Grigio" and I hope Sonja remembers to bring her panties and toaster oven. I couldn't stop laughing when she said she's cooked for royalty and the Churchill's from her toaster oven lol

I'm amazed how much Sonja has changed since last season. I remember thinking how much I liked her at first because she seemed so level-headed, down to earth and drama-free, but I suspect she was just playing for the cameras because now she's a total bisque.

On the other hand, Jill is a little more likeable again. I'm happy to see that. I miss Bethenny. Alex is still annoying and seems to confuse being outspoken with being obnoxious. I like Cindy and the fact that she calls people out and doesn't seem as two-faced.

I think Beverly Hills is still my favorite. Can't wait for the next season of that. I don't really watch OC.

I just can't stand Tamara.

Tonight should be good. It is this seasons reunion show. Probably be a few cat fights. Krstn, I agree she has gone down hill this season.

Tamara has always been my least favorite. I wish these gals, escpecially her, would realize what the effects of their behaviour is on their children. If doing reality tv is her way of making a living for herself and her kids, she can still do that and also keep her dignity. I don't think much of her boyfriend Eddie either.

I'm glad Don shared his feeling during last night's reunion and even more happy to see that Vicki agreed with him. Nice to see her love tank full again lol

Part two looks to be interesting.

I've watched them all at least once. I like OC and NY. Hate to get drawn into NJ ( quite a different NJ that I grew up in ) and Atlanta.

We all wonder about what was left on the editing room floor , but Vicky's put her efforts into her business and is very successful. 24 hours in a day doesn't leave much for other things. At the end of last season , I didn't think Vicky would be back. Perhaps it's time for her to enjoy her life more privately.
Tamra has been a spoiled child since she joined the show. Her mouth opens too easily before her brain does. She says she's learned a lot but I haven't seen any change in her.

Alexis seems to spout the marriage line but I can't agree that the lips and body she loves is that great ..or her personality. Her dress line leaves a lot to be desired.

I'd hate to think my friends or acquaintances have nothing more to do than gossip.

Of the OC gals, I tend to dislike Tamra the most, then Alexis, I like Vicky, but I think she got her priorities mixed up and her marriage & Don came in a far second. Still don't have much of an opinion on the new gal, but it seems that Gretchen is the most level headed. I think she sees Slade as he is, but unfortunately still loves him, I don't think she will marry him, unless his financial situation gets better.
