The Real Housewives of New Jersey

I was bummed to see next week is the season finale. Seems like a really short season this time. Finale previews look exciting.

Teresa appears to be happy with her new boobies and thankfully her hubby talked her into the C cup LOL. Maybe it was just editing, but the plastic surgeon seemed annoyed with hubby, but than again he does come across as cocky and rather dumb. I wonder if he paid in cash.

While Danielle is not my favorite, I do feel sorry for her. She really has no one, other than her girls. It bugs me that she dumps so much emotional baggage on them. Kudos to her 14 year old for telling mom that guys are just after her "goodies".

The OC has unseen footage from their reunion show that they will be airing, I believe this week.

I am new to the forum and was so glad to see your post! I am addicted to these "Real Housewives ..." shows and don't know anyone else who admits to watching them (ha ha). I agree with everything you said. Do you also watch the New York group? I do, but I'm trying to stop myself from getting hooked on the Atlanta and Orange County wives.

litereader, welcome to the forum!! There is a small group on here that is addicted to all the Real Housewives series. I think one of them termed it "Brain Candy" LOL I'm so addicted that I've seen every episode 3 or 4 times (ok maybe more)

My favorites are the New York gals, I really hope they do another season. New Jersey is like watching The Soprano's minus the dead bodies lol nobody messes with Caroline!

I don't know what the heck I am going to do when New Jersey is over. Thank goodness Top Chef is starting, so that will help ease the pain :)

I read somewhere (Washington Post?) that the DC Housewives crew had been filming the house crasher woman for months before the White House party. They considered pulling her from the series, but that meant cutting out every event and scene between her and another cast member. They decided to keep her around. FWIW, I am almost certain the woman and her husband are going to be exposed as the ultimate liars. They say they organize a huge polo match for charity and I've heard that it didn't make money. They supposedly run bus tours of wine country, but the reviews online are horrible...buses don't show up, wineries don't know the groups are coming...it's just a wreck of a "business". I'd love to know how they get their money. If the husband is working, he must be damn good to be kept on despite the chaos that seems to swirl around him and his wife.

Yeah, I'm waiting to see it. When I heard she was getting her own design show I thought OMG she decorates so tacky and gaudy how are they ever going to pull this off. But now I see the show will about party planning so that's better, it's OK if she goes over the top there. Turns out HGTV already has another designer who decorates like Dina...her name is Donna.

I want you all to know I blame YOU for this...I was a proud Real Housewives of [Wherever] virgin. But having been intrigued by the RHofNJ Discussions thread, when my girls started watching the full day marathon of the show at our beach rental last week, I made the fatal mistake of paying attention just for a moment. You know the sorry result-I'm hooked. And I fear it's not just those Joisey girls. I have this vague wandering question in my mind: who is Bethenny? And why does that show have a question mark about her getting married? And if she wasn't married how was she a Real Housewife of NY? Arrghhhh.... Ann

I agree with everything Sleepblues said! Bravo to Bravo for firing Danielle. This woman needs some serious help. I believe she said all those things to and about Ashley. A 45+ year old woman harrassing a teenager is disgusting. I do hold Ashley accountable for her actions, but I think her upbringing has alot to do with her behaviour. Jacqueline started a little too late in the discipline department. Teresa is a bully and has anger issues. She was looking for a fight at the fashion show and she got it. Her behavior on the reunion show was scary. She is my least favorite housewife. I love Caroline, eye rolls and all. What you see is what you get. She is the only one who sees the truth in all these women and saw through the fakeness of Danielle's forgiveness. I didn't believe it for one second either. I do believe that Jacqueline was sincere. Kudos to Caroline for always looking out for her family. Danielle is a snake! Kim G is a two faced, troublemaker. I'm glad Bravo isn't bringing her back. I wonder who will be replacing Danielle? Wonder if Dina will come back?

OK, I have yet another admission to make -- I also watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette series. Everytime I say that I am not going to watch again because it never works out -- then there I am -- tuned in every week!

Top Chef, huh? I watched that the first season, may have to try it again.

I was out last night so I was not able to watch the show. I tried to watch the later showing but found that it made me uncomfortable. Not sure why, but it may be that I have had enough of watching women being nasty and mean.

I am also having a hard time caring about these women, I don't like them very much. Caroline has a very hard edge to her, seems like she's been around the block a few times and would know where all the bodies are stashed...literally. Teresa is is cute, silly and fun loving but way over the top and out of control as far as spending money goes. Does she think that letting her daughters have anything they want is doing them any favors? She seems like she needs to grow up, learn how to say 'no' and be an adult. Jacqueline needs something but I don't know what. She leaves me with the impression that there is nothing there...a bit of a dimwit. Danielle is a real piece of work and I find that I feel sorry for her. She seems to have no real friends, everyone talks about her behind her back, she allows herself to be used by one man after the other. That's not fun to watch. But the one I like the least is Dina. I might be missing something but she is the most unlikable of them all. She seems dismissive, spoiled and someone that I would avoid at all cost.

So, I'm not sure about this group. I may have OD on the New York crew. I feel like, for a while, I may have had enough of watching women being toxic and nasty to each other.

I saw the tease about the OC show on tomorrow night. It reminded me of just how much I dislike Tamra & Vicky. Talk about toxic...

    sooey
who will watch but knows that women are way better than what we are being shown.

I'm afraid that I've fallen into the "thank goodness I'm a better woman than her" trap. I don't know why watching other people behaving badly is so fascinating.

Litereader, I also watch the Bachelorette/Bachelor and vow at the end of every season never to watch again, but like you, I religiously tune in. Thank goodness Jillian sent David home, he was beyond creepy. Not sure why she got rid of Juan. Wes needs to leave next.

Top Chef looks to be fun this season as the contestants are all well known chefs from around the world. Many have been guest judges in past seasons. They are all doing this for their favorite charities.

Sooey - I agree with your post. Dina is my least favorite of the group, I think she loves tormenting Danielle, even though she keeps saying she doesn't give a crap about her. I'm still waiting to read something about the IRS investigating Teresa and her husband.

    Matti
who complains about each episode, but will continue to watch

I love all the Real Housewives shows except the current New Jersey bunch. What a bunch of Soprano wannabes. LOL

Caroline and Dina are mean and controlling and I think poor Jacqueline is scared to death of those two SILs.

Can't wait for this Jersey bunch to be over. :)

Being from NJ...think this one's the worst. I like the NY and Ocean County housewives. I didn't care for the Atlanta housewives either.
Top Chef is better than all of them...can't wait for that agian.

There's a reason Danielle doesn't have any real friends, because she has nothing to offer except sex. She is such a shell of a person. The relationship with her boyfriend Steve does not seem deep and complex, you never see them converse about anything real. It is most likely based on sex. And although she parades his age (27) I think he's an ugly 27! My oldest son is that age and I think Steve, with his receding hairline, looks more as though he is in his thirties and he has a very thin, ugly smile that you only see when Danielle is whining. (It must give him power to see this rich lady whine for sexual favors).

A few of these ladies expressed how important it is to be their childrens "friend". Sorry, children have enough friends these kids need to have discipline and boundaries not unlimited clothes and free cars. They are setting themselves up for real problems down the pike.

I started out liking Theresa but I keep hearing echoes of her statement that living in someones elses previously owned home is "disgusting". It really highlights how spoiled and not down to earth these ladies are. Out of all the Housewives I enjoyed the New York series the most.

I have watched the New Jersey gals a couple of times, and just can't get into them. For some reason I just can't relate. Like the Atlanta ladies, having money doesn't automatically give you class. I liked the NY gals and the CA gals second. I saw NY, Jill on a talk show and was asked if there will be another season for the NY gals and she said she couldn't really say. The host said, kidding, give me a wink if the answer is yes, and she did wink at him. I sure hope so. I am another one who says after every Bachelor/bachelorette season, never again, but yes, I'm watching every Monday night. I'm pulling for Jake. He is the pilot. Dottie

I tried to post an additional note to this thread yesterday afternoon and it kept rejecting it. Don't know why. Anyway, I found also found David creepy and I like Jake the pilot. Ed makes a good impression on me, too. Back to housewives -- NY group is my favorite, too. In the NJ group, Danielle is a real piece of work -- whiney, trashy, gold-digger with an inflated sense of her own beauty (guess I don't like her).

I'm hooked on the Jersey girls and I agree it seems like a really short season. I was hoping that much like a trashy summer novel I would have something to look at in the coming months. I'm not in love with any of them, but I do find their lives interesting. Oh, I do like the "Mama Bear" of the group. It's like she does have their backs even when they aren't doing what she likes. I kind of like that attitude. I don't like the way Danielle "works" Jacqueline (that is the one right?) LOL. She's like a snake slithering around and saying how much she loves her and she considers her a "sister"??? What??? Isn't their friendship a new one? ICK! She just wants to use her to get in that family. Duh. And her 27 year old (and I mean old looking too) boyfriend looked like he wanted to laugh when she broke up with him!! Like he was only coming over to bounce around her bedroom...it seemed like they never had a real "relationship". And he wanted to borrow the summerhouse so he could take his "new" honey away for the weekend? He sure go over the sad breakup didn't he. He had a "friend with benefits" and that's all it was.

Yikes, listen to me!! Thank goodness the show is ending next week!! I need to back away from the TV!! LOL!!!

I've met people who want to be "friends", but try to get too close, too fast. It never turns out well for the "victim". It's like having a leach attach itself to your arm. I've found these people frequently use the sympathy they can bring out in other people. They are so needy. Be careful who you feel sorry for. Jacqueline needs to watch out -- Danielle is a snake. Oh rats! I need to back away, too.

Is it just me or does this one seem really chopped up? I'm pretty sure I've seen all of the episodes so far.

    Agreed: such a short season!

If you are really into these there is another you might like. It's on Soap.net and it's called Southern Belles.

Here is a link that might be useful: Southern Belles Louisville

Daisy7, I watch Southern Belles too. I feel sorry for the guy whose got the pressure on him to marry (can't think of their names). He can't afford to buy her the ring she wants, but I'm sure daddy (who is also planning the wedding) will buy the 5 carat ring. I'm wondering if the boyfriend is just in it for the money, as his future is pretty secure (financially) if he marries.

I agree that this season of NJ seems chopped up. Can't wait though for the big fight on the finale. I can't believe I just said that, how sad am I!

I can't stand these New Jersey women. They may be rich, but none of them have any class including Caroline. I like the New York group but have to say I never watched Orange County. I will watch if they have another season.

I think they are a hoot - they are so 'unreal' as people that I can't relate to them in any way - it's kind of like watching a human zoo to see what they do next that is facinating in a kind of morbid way, you know what I mean?

Summer trash at it's lowest but I'm enjoying it to the max *LOL*

I did od on the Orange County wives, they are the trashiest looking/acting women I have ever seen, bar none. That has to be a put on, I'm not believing that it's all actually happening without any planning at all.

There were only about four New Jersey shows, wasn't there? I think they must have put this show out there to see if it would float - I hear it's the most popular one so far.

Did you know that Anderson Cooper watches them all religiously? I figure if it's good enough for a brainiac like him............;)

I don't watch any other reality show, however, just never could get interested in any of them. I still can't quite believe I watch AND enjoy this trash but there ya go. I do.

mylab - I agree, the OC women are the trashiest. They don't know when to stop with the breast/botox/lip plump/bleach hair/fake tan stuff. They have crossed the line from normal to skank. I find their behavior to be just childish. Human zoo, indeed. I said I would never watch the OC women again and so far I am sticking to my guns...but then again, they are on tonight...crap...I'll bet I give in and watch. I have a backbone of milk toast.

The NY women are the best and my fav, by far. They are the smartest of the bunch.

I've never thought of Anderson Cooper as being a brainiac. But he is nice looking and has a good delivery.

WELCOME LITEREADER!!!! Another NJ watcher here.....I don't watch the others you mentioned but guess I could try.....Now i have to say I have caught episodes of OC and NY but I DON'T MISS NJ!!! I love love love them and Jackie and Theresa and Dina are my favs.....call me crazy I know.....I love Caroline and I so wish Danielle would get help for her sex addiction and for her need to find a man to help her and her girls...she says she used to be a model (can't see it but hey you never really know) so go back to modeling make a life for you andyour girls and show them you don't need a man to support you and make you happy...when she went out with "steve" that one night her daughters sitting at the top of the stairs and her oldest looked soooo sad it broke my heart.....get a life stop telling your daughters about your life (and they will see the show so stop telling us) and fix yourself and be a mom to your kids....whew that has been brewing in me since last night...I was already to post on here and wham huge stormm lost power from 5 til 11 so no posting or reading their blogs..yes I read the Jerseys blogs even that is how much I love it...
I have seen the commercial for Southern Belles but never noted when it was on...but going to that link also....
Okay gotta upload 2 pics to show yall tomorrow of my disaster of a dinner with 3 guests to serve LOL Stacy

It's like a train wreck.........I TRY to look away but just can't. Hate the OC show, tho. NY is the best. I for some reason enjoy the Bethany/Kelly debacle. tee hee.

Momrox it's impossible to look away, goodness knows I've tried lol

Stacy, I agree with you about Danielle, I feel sorry for her girls with all the emotional baggage that she puts on them. Be their mom first!! Time for her to wake up and realize she IS worth more than her "goodies" as her daughter calls it. I bet Danielle's boyfriend Steve did a happy dance after she broke up with him. He's a jerk!

I love reading the Bravo blogs too. The Housewives lost footage show is just about to start...why am I watching again???????

I won't be watching the OC women, they are just too disgusting in a non-funny way to me. Females at their very worst.

I said this was the only "reality" tv show I watched but last night I realized that isn't true.

Though it's a contest, it's also reality tv and I think "So you think you can dance" is very good.

These are young adults who have been in training for years in a very competetive field and are competeting against others as good or better than themselves.

I love this show and am glad that the talented young adults are getting some exposure so that maybe they will be able to make a living off of what they so love and devotedly train so hard to learn. I think this is a much better contest than American Idol.

I was really proud of myself last night!!!! After watching the "OC lost footage" for 15 minutes, I turned it off. What a waste of time.

I was thinking how the OC gals have changed since season 1. I liked them all back then. There are still a few that I think are good people. Laurie has always stayed true to herself. She's a strong woman and great mom, she's been through alot with her son and doesn't make excuses for him or herself. Gina is a good person and tries to see the best in everyone. Tamara, Vicki and Gretchen are females at their worst.
