Use the HTML code there is another HTML but use the one that's followed with code. It's the third one down.

Depending on your P-bucket settings, it may be the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc code found below the pic.

I have mine set to show the HTML Thumb so the pic is small for dial-up users, but clickable to make it bigger if one so chooses.

Example...a daffodil (not a very good pic though)....is clickable using the HTML Thumb code.

I'll experiment. This time I used the 2nd code. The 3rd one was rejected and said " either you did not provide a name for your link or this does not appear to be a valid Internet URL."

Where do I find the setings? I like the thumbnail idea.

Go to Account settings at the top (sort of to the right)
Scroll down to Album Settings
Click on Link Options
Under HTML Websites and Blog, put a check in the Clickable Thumbnail box
Lastly Save

Then when you want to post a clickable Thumbnail, you will just copy and paste that code right into the message box, and can post multiple pics within one post. You will see the pics when you Preview your post before submitting.

When I preview I am stil having trouble with it being rejected. Maybe this time, but I'm sure this isn't thumbnail.

Are you pasting the HTML Thumb code right into the message box, or are you pasting it into the Optional Link URL box?

The HTML Thumb code just needs to go in the message box....and nothing in the other boxes (Optional link, or Name of Link)

It worked for me using the third code down.

For the one I did manage to post, I used the 2nd one and it worked. I would still like to learn the thumbnail one. I tried aain and it still comes up the same with the " I acknowledgethat I have read........ When I click on that, it says that the page was not found..Maybe it is down for to-day. I'll try another day and maybe all will be well. Thanks for all the help.

It does not work for me. No matter what I do it links back to a "page" in my album. I will keep working with it.

I'm going now to change it back to where the clickable thumb will just take it to a bigger pic...not showing the whole album....like Yours is stargazzer.

Now when you click on my thumb above, do you just see a bigger pic, or a bigger pic in the album at Photobucket.

I changed the setting back, but it keeps taking me to the album when clicking on the Thumb. I cleared cache...and am over it for a while.

When I went into link options I checked everything except the bottom one, then saved, backed up into the other page and saved it. I don't exactly what I did to make it work, but it works.

If so, Uncheck the box for Images linked back to album. After I rebooted computer it works fine, but the ones I posted at 17:42 will remain clickable and going to the album.

Ok, now ya'll had me curious. I didn't even think about the thumbnails linking back to album and that you could turn it off.

Sue, at the top of your Photobucket album page, it says your name, then next to that it says account options. Go to there. Down a ways it says images link back to album. I just unchecked that then hit save at the bottom.

When you go to the pics in your album when you mouseover the pics all the links show up below each pic... or.. if you click on the pic then all the links are on that page that shows that one pic. For this site you want to use the HTML code or the HTML thumbnail code. You don't put these in the optional link stuff down at the bottom of your post, you just put the code right in the body of your message. When you hit preview they should show up so you know if you've done it right. I'm going to check mine out and see what the linking unchecked did.

This has been an educational post. Took forever to actually see the account options. It wasn't there until I left the site and came back.

So I'm trying once again when my mind is a bit fresher.

Ok...from the top....

1-Go to Photobucket nd click on Account Options found at the top (sort of to the right) of the page
2- Scroll down to Album Settings and UNCHECK the box next to Images Link Back To Album and SAVE.
3-While still on your Account Options Page after the Previous Save, scroll down once again to Album Settings and click on Link options
4-A new small screen will come up that says Choose which link codes to show by default. To make a clickable thumbnail, under HTML for websites & blogs put a check in the box for Clickable thumbnail and SAVE.
That's it on your settings.

Now open KT in another tab or window. Write your message in the Message box, and go copy the HTML Thumb code and then paste that into your message box.
Upon Preview you will then see the little clickable Thumb, (and can then click on it to check and see if it takes you to just a bigger pic.) If all is well, Submit.

Clickable Thumbs are so nice for those on dial-up or those whose speed is just not so fast. By right clicking on coconut's BIG pic above and choosing 'properties' one can see that the Size of File is 240 KB. By doing the same thing one can see that her Thumb is just 8 KB.

So...Ivamae, and Sue...show us your Thumbs!

I was trying to help a friend at the Test Forum learn how to post pics from Photobucket. She was having a heck of a time. Come to find out. she had never used multiple tabs or windows, so was trying to do it all from one tab. Now that is confusing and really hard to do.

Another friend had problems posting pics from P-bucket, and come to find out, she did not have the setting right in her account options to show code beneath the pics that I was telling her to copy.

Now...if you want to go further with confusing things, how about this...

You checked the box under IMG for bulletin boards & forums

Go uncheck that one and check the one under HTML for websites & blogs
