Linda, the pattern is from the Thangles Buck a Block program that I'm doing through my LQS. Except I didn't have the right size Thangles, so I had to use my math skills! Yikes! But anyway, as you can tell it's all HSTs.

Well gals,
Fighting depression, have no energy, but I am trying to rally and get your blocks to you ASAP.
I am a diabetic who takes Avandia which has been on TV as possibly dangerous....need to talk to my doc soon. SOMEthing I take is draining my energy....have never "bounced back" from breast cancer a few years ago either. I sound pitiful, eh?, but I will get these blocks out. Determined to feel much better...

Due to recent shoulder and back problems, I've had to slow down quite a bit. I'm on major pain meds and begin physical therapy tomorrow. Your fabric is ironed and ready to be cut and pieced a.s.a.p. My shoulder is happy that once I finish yours, I have two months off to recover before doing the end-of-August block. Thanks for your patience. I feel badly because I'm still waiting for three of my May 6 birthday blocks.

WooHoo! I got 2 blocks today! One from patti - thank you very much. Is the pattern from quilterscache? I think I ask that each time I get one but that's the site I get most of my patterns. It's a very pretty block.
The other one is from juttz - thanks so much. Michigan, huh? It's a great block. It's what we call a string block, right? I've got 8 blocks so far & can't hardly wait to get them all & post a pic.
Thanks to all of you for making them for me.

I got Islays block yesterday and the colors are perfect and it will fit in perfectly with all the others...and Islay the mug rug is adorable...can you share your pattern?..this would be perfect for making little stocking stuffer gifts this xmas...thank you so much for making this block for me...oh and I did chuckle at the hen card...it does remind me of the forum...lolol.....Judy

I received another birthday block this week! Mum_in_Africa, your block is soooooo beautiful and well made! I absolutely LOVE the small lighthouse fabric you used. I haven't seen that fabric in the U.S.

I'm taking a typing break from (drumroll please) finishing Noocha and Juttz's blocks! The physical therapist gave me permission to work on them. These blocks should be mailed out tomorrow afternoon. I'll keep you posted!

Yup Sue, got yours awhile back....the names I posted are ones who havent sent yet....no problems though..Im going through alot of medical stuff now too and its been hard to sit at the computer let alone the sewing machine...7 more days of work and I can get myself back to a reasonably healthy state...Im hoping anyway...Judy

Well, I guess if I'd read the whole post I would have realized that. DOH! And I have a Reading Specialist credential! Oh well, as I tell my DH just because I taught reading doesn't mean I do it.

I'm working on your block. Sorry it's so late...we had 2 graduations (one was out of state) and all the events that go with them, 2 proms, and my oldest dd was home from Colorado for 10 days...I haven't seen her since New Years Day. Everything is now back to the usual craziness...hopefully your block will be out this week.

Dear Noocha,

I mailed your birthday block a week ago (last Tuesday). That same day I mailed juttz's block and a package of 10 flag blocks for another swap. The heavy flag block package arrived on Friday to its destination. Juttz's block arrived yesterday (Monday). Hopefully yours will arrive tomorrow!!! Give it another day or two and let me know what happens!

Has anyone heard from scootersgirl or mum_in_africa lately? I haven't seen a post from either one in awhile & haven't received their blocks. Theirs, plus molliebooklover's, are the ones I haven't got yet.

Noocha - I'm so glad my block finally arrived!

I, too, am still waiting for blocks from scootersgirl and molliebooklover. I know Mollie is working on them, so hang tight. However, I have received my block from mum_in_africa. Remember that hers is being flown in from Australia; it's going to take a little while. (Trust me, it's worth the wait...the block she sent me was terrific!)

Judy, I forgot to say thanks for the extra fabric. I usually send the extras that are left over too. And a picture! That's a great idea. Good looking folks in it too.

Last night I went to my mailbox and found my final two birthday blocks! After breakfast this morning, I'm going to iron all twelve of them and take photos so that I can post them online.

Georgia/Scootersgirl - What an amazing fish on point! I've never seen that pattern before. Thank you!

Mollie/Mollie_booklover - I liked how you had TWO simple fish in your block. They definitely look like they are swimming! Thanks!

Believe it or not, these were the only fish blocks I received...and they arrived on the same day!

Ok ladies. I got my last block in todaY's mail. It was from Anne. It is so lovely! Well worth the wait. I plan to get them all together in the morning & take pics. I'll post the pictures tomorrow. I can't wait to put them all together to see how they look.

Helen, I got your block this morning and it is sooooo pretty..the pinks and greens are lovely...also thank you for the pink fabric..it will surely be used in the border of the quilt....
