Not a bad idea to be concerned about the cat and O2 sensor but I don't think it will be a problem if you dilute it thoroughly as said. I have a high mileage (293k) car with cat and O2 sensor that burns a qt of oil every ~700 miles and no issues besides a bit of blue smoke at times. That works out to about a qt of oil burned for every 28 gallons gas.

I have had such a huge amount of brush every year for 12 years of living on this property, that I burn every Spring (even though I HATE burning - it is hot, dirty, and a PITA). There was so much brush because this 1.25 acre lot was horribly overgrown with mostly invasive woody plants, including oriental bittersweet, both common and glossy buckthorn, honeysuckle, HUNDREDS of Norway maples, Rosa multiflora, etc. I have been working on removing invasives and preserving/planting natives since 2005. It is pretty well under control, except for the back 1/4 acre or so, which is mostly wild and still has some invasive overgrowth. In lieu of burning, I am planning to create wildlife brush piles in the way back. I have used a number of buckthorn and norway maple trunks to build a 20 foot trellis. Ctpnchr, I like the idea of brush fences!

I am like rhizo never boiled a ham ever. I buy smoked hams that are actually fully cooked from the smoking. I put it in the oven to heat up. If I get a little picnic shoulder ham I cook them in the oven till tender. Usually put some kind of fruit juice in with it, pineapple, orange, Apple etc. And I sometimes glaze the hams. If I get a raw pork ham roast, not smoked just raw from the pig, I do those in my big roaster pan in the oven or my electric roaster oven and cook till internal temp is done. Just like a regular roast. Sometimes I cut slots and stuff with onion and garlic. I have seen boiled ham in the deli case it reminds me of the canned hams.

With the wildlife I have that visits my yard who leave their droppings etc. I lack concern about putting the used heavily urinated litter around my plants. Last night once again I was left with gifts on my patio. Most of those articles while they are correct that body waste can contain things that do go into the ground water they have not done any research in ways household garbage is handled including bagged kitty litter. In this area at least it is put into big mounds and compacted. You can frequently see trenches or drainage ponds to hold the liquid from the rain that washes through the mound. Those drainage ponds are allowed to seep into the ground or evaporate until they are full of particles. At that time they are either capped with dirt or dug out and the solid materials taken elsewhere. For a while those solid particles were spread on a field as an experiment to see what grew best. They no longer do that as it was discovered it concentrated heavy metals of various sort. So the short of this is that the kitty litter will eventually enter the ground water which is what most are concerned about.
