Special thoughts for Foxy

My precious little cat, Foxy is scheduled for surgery at 9AM this morning.

Doesn't look good, but worth a shot...looks to her oncologist like cancerous mammary (she had other removed last year - benign). And there was that thyroid last year that looked bad but was also benign.

She's in such good health otherwise, hopefully we can give her more time.

I've been a nervous wreck all weekend. Heading for the vet's in an hour.

DD just called me, and is very nervous, although her house is on the edge of the flood plain, and hopefully will be OK. But she has kitty litter in the car, harnesses and carrier for the cats, everything off the floor in the basement. The heavy snows didn't help matters any out there....just made the sandbagging harder to do. I'm so impressed with the young people doing such a great job.

Yesterday, I stored my regular car in the garage and activated the Jeep Cherokee. It has full time 4 wheel drive. Bought a snow shovel today after I discovered my old ones were badly worn. Come on snowstorm. Bring it on! Now, I discover the Jeep isn't running well enough to be reliable. It runs ok most of the time but stumbles on occassion. I got a sinking feeling that I can't trust it to take me very far from the house and get me back. It may be that I have a bad load of gasoline. Tomorrow, I need to run it long enough to lower the fuel level and replace with new to see if that cures it - but this means that I may have to travel a little farther from home than I want to. What to do, what to do. Not ready for prime time snow after all.

OH OH we here in the northeast are in a MAJOR snowstorm...they may not even make it to Philadelphia today. Here is a link to arrivals, so many have been cancelled. I hope things go well for her. It is just so heartbreaking when our fuzzy friends are not doing well.
She's been through alot but she's a pretty tough kitty so hopefully she'll do just fine.
