Water Clarity Question - New Pool Owner

I need some advice!

We've had our pool now for about 6 weeks. Everything has been going great, but I did have a question for those of you that have had your pools much longer.

In daylight, our pool water looks crystal clear. Even at night, with the lights on, it looks really clear, except right in front of the light, where you can see very small particals of dirt (I'm assuming it's dirt) suspended in the water, much like you would see dust floating in the air, in the light rays shining in from a window.

Not a big deal, but I really would like it to be crystal clear. Is this normal? Is there a way to eliminate the very fine particals of dirt? I have a Salt Water System, but the particals look more like dirt (sort of brownish in color). I've been running the filter pump 4-6 hours a day and keeping the water chemically balanced.

I appreciate any advice.
