Cute! I had seen Hope and Lily on the cam, but hadn't got a peek at the babies yet. Not quite accurate (I now know), but had to share this anyhow: GONNA BE A BEAR In this life I'm a woman. In my next life, I'd like to come back as a bear. When you're a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that. Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that too. When you're a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you are sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute, cuddly cubs. I could definitely deal with that. If you're a mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that. If you're a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat. Yup, gonna be a bear!

olychick - I sympathize with your grandson and his mom. My son is so "hardwired" for a dog but I'm not a fan of them. I am a cat person and we do have cats and he's ok with that. I know that when he moves out the first thing he will get is a dog. Those cat videos are so cute.

Aww. So cute! How I would have adored this when I was little girl, especially since my doll's house had a cast iron stove that would probably have done it.

I agree with Ollie Jane, except that I do not like the green - it has a kind of sickly feel to it for me, and reminds me of green snot. Anyway, that shade of green turns my stomach and has a jaundice feel to it. I appreciate the childlike qualities, but that's really not an interest of mine. His art has a bit of a somewhat Aubrey Beardsley look to it on a primitive, superficial level. I especially dislike the shabby upholstery, having done upholstery myself. The whole cottage does look like it has gone to the dogs, and I am not a dog person either. Anyway, the dogs seem happy, and so there is that. While I don't like lots of floral chintz patterns thrown together, his don't bother me as much as say, Laura Ashley. I've lived with a lot of artists, but none of them were this bad. One of my best friends makes ceramics, and his are much more interesting, unique, and eccentric. I would be more interested in seeing his residence in Morocco - I think I would like that much more, but then I've never been a fan of English cottage style. As far as playhouses go, I like Peewee Herman's better.
