Comments (2)I have spray painted metal outdoor furniture. If you don't want shiny, then do the matt finish. Just follow the directions on the can. Do it on a still day and don't try to do heavy coverage. Several light coats work better. Make sure to give it enough time to dry. The surface with marr easily until it is completely dry....See Morespray painting shower door trim

Comments (4)No not even close to a genius. Yes it was just a regular spray bottle. I did get the idea if I was to do it again without a Wagner that I was going to try one of those pump air into bottles. Like I said though my paint was very thinned out. Almost to the point of seeing no colour but with repeated coats the colour would show up. I was using black at the time and when it went on it had a gray tinge to it.It took many coats to receive the absolute black I wanted. You might have to thin your paint a little more. A little experimenting maybe till you get just the right consistency. If your bottle starts to get gunked up you could dump the paint into a another container or spray bottle and then pour some spirits or varsol or whatever is needed for cleanup and spray onto cardboard or something. This is what we do when we are using the Wagner so I would imagine it would work as well. Worth a try I would suppose. I also wonder if I had a lot of spraying to do, if a fertilizer sprayer would work. That bottle would be able to hold a LOT of paint and you could pump it up and adjust the sprayer to a very fine mist and just spray away. But for the price of fertilizer sprayer a Wagner would only cost a few dollar more....See Moreprofessionally spray painting furniture
Comments (22)Our house is vacant right now. We are having painters paint all the walls and trim with spray which is a common practice. I haven't asked painter yet (waiting for a return call) but I'm not sure I want a painter without experience painting cabs to do it. I've tried calling cabinet makers and refacers to ask but they aren't helpful...probably because it's like saying "hey, instead of hiring you to build me cabs, will you tell me who else I can hire to just paint the ones I have?"...See Morewodka
