lol Nicole..no your elbows will be orange until it wears off..you can try getting in the bath and soaking well and scrubbing with soap,but I think you'll still find you have to wait it out
The reason it does that,is its applied heavier there than you think actually..and we don't rub the same there as when we apply it to our other skin.

Its good stuff....really it is,but it takes a feather lite touch and more than one app to make it look like a tan.

Okay, so I definitely used the wrong shade, I probably used WAY too much, becaue my face looks tanned already (and miraculously, it's even!). And I won't wash my hands right after applying the stuff, or I'll wash more carefully so I don't splash my arms. AND I'll go scrub my elbows and knees now (and ankles I just noticed) and hope for the best. :)

I'll buy the light stuff and give it another shot when this wears off.

My daughter had the same problem so she tried using some foot scrub on her knees - the little exfoliating beads helped to remove some of the excess color. So she just wore jeans until the rest of it faded.

I've never had that problem but I do use the light. I put some in my hand and rub my hands together before applying. I think it goes on more evenly. I don't use much either.

In the acne secion of most drugstores, they sell an exfoliating scrubbie sponge. It's usually white and roundish. Soak in the tub/shower, then scrub with that...hard. You can squirt some exfoliating body scrub on it as well. Use **regular** lotion all over afterwards as your skin will be tender. In a day or two, you should be faded.

Apply hydrogen peroxide with a cotton ball or q-tip.

before next application.."exfoliate" even with a wash cloth those areas, then apply a thin layer of regular lotion, when dry apply the tanner..

Just think how smooth you'll be when your done removing the "excess". LOL

My trouble spot is my feet. How do you get it evenly on your feet? Any suggestions anybody?

Angela, I don't use it on my feet. I look like I have been playing tennis without sox on.

Exfoliate first then put some regular lotion, not too heavy, on your knees, elbows, and feet. Those are the dryer areas so they will soak up more of the tanner than the others. I'd also start with the lighter tanner and work your way up from there.
I used to use that stuff and was really happy with the way it worked I just didn't like the way it made me smell. I never asked my husband if he could smell it, but I always noticed it and felt like I smelled sweaty or something. Maybe they've fixed that. I'd use it again if they did.

I couldn't tell it did anything to me. I bought the darkest I could get an nothing..but I do have fairly dark skin (olive) anyways...Stacy

I bought the light version Tuesday. Plan to try it this weekedn- it will be my celebration of the end of a misirable semester.
