I would suggest the Pentair EZ-Touch with a 4-button remote.
It can turn on your filter, pool sweep, lights and heat pump and a generator.

A couple of things though.

Heat pumps in our neck of the woods (I'm in NJ too) will have a hard time with our cool nights. They are slower in heating the pool than a gas fired heater. No actuators needed but I recommend a bypass be plumbed in.

If you get a waterfall, please don't use cultured rock or fiberglass. The will present a lot of problems when closing the pool.

I agree the Easy Touch is the way to go...Also very soon Pentair will have a new light out that is LED type for you Colorlogic fans( whispering I just got 3 for my pool).

I prefer the Jandy PDA 4's over the Pentair EZ Touch 4 or the Aqualogic 4 systems.

Have you installed your Pentair LED yet?

My rep just gave me one Thursday to place in my pool to get a feel of how it'll compare to the others. He said that the wholesalers are getting them into their stock this week. I haven't seen one yet and am curious as to how it compares to the Colorlogic LED's.

Sorry not yet, But they are supposed to be the Bomb. Husky have you ever installed a Export Drain system? Just wondering if you like them or not...

I haven't had a request for them yet.
It appears to me to be a knock off of the MDX drains from Paramount. When I install their infloor cleaning systems I utilize them, otherwise I steer clear of them.
I'm sure I'll be installing some soon. I've found myself installing all kinds of new product over the years. The buyers always seem to hear about the new product before I do.

I also heard that the Intellibrites are AWESOME pool lamps.
But, that came from my sales rep so I can't take it at much more than face value.

Thanks for the advice. I checked out the Pentair EZ Touch system and they say that it will only work with conventional gas heating systems. Do you know if it works with a heat pump or would I have to maybe go with the Intellitouch system?

Take a look at page 14 and it will tell you how to hook up a Heat pump....
Kelly, These drains are much larger than the picture makes you think, there is no way you could install 2 in most pools. The debris Basket is nice for us Hillbillies that live in the woods here in Tennessee.

Yep, it sounds exactly like the MDX drains.
You place one on the floor for the popups to push debris to and plumb the other in the wall as an emergency suction in the event the floor MDX gets blocked, You can utilize a leaf grabber if you choose or can run it to pool suction.
I hate them, they don't pay well enough for the additional cost and the extra labor necessary for installation.
But I'll give them due credit, when the primary drain is blocked it pulls immediately from the secondary and will let go of a little swimmer who may be seated on it.
My recommendation to buyers is the same as with my children,
NO SITTING ON THE FLOOR OVER THE MAIN DRAINS AND NO
SWIMMING DOWN TO THEM FACE FIRST AND LOOKING INSIDE THEM.

Thanks for the info, it sound's like the heat pump is not a problem but do you think it will work with a non-pentair heat pump such as a Heat Siphon? Do I just wire it the same as if it was a Thermalflow?
