I am glad you still want to do the swap. And hopefully more will join!

I have an idea -- if no one else joins, what if we do 14 blocks each -- two sets of 7. Keep one from each set and send the other 12 to you. Then when you swap them we would get 2 blocks from each member.

Or does that sound overwhelming to people? To me, making 14 blocks doesn't really sound any harder than making 12. But them I am famous (with myself, ha ha) for underestimating the amount of work required to do just about everything.

Anyhow, just a thought... Either way I plan to make extra houses for a bigger quilt for me!

Laura 14 sounds okay to me but send all 14 and get 14 different blocks back!

I love houses and as a matter of fact my birthday blocks on another board will be houses.
I have a question before I commit.
The link shows the houses wonky when finished but Carolines blocks in her wall hanging are not wonky.

Are you making them wonky or not?
I don't really care but want to make sure I understand.

Not wonky - 8" unfinished blocks
Wonky = 9 1/2" unfinished blocks

Any all cotton fabric solid or patterened can be used?
I love anything to use my stash!

I forgot the second part of my question!

If they should be made wonky, then should we make an even number of uphill blocks and downhill blocks? (6 & 6 or 5 & 5 etc.)

we are just making the house we aren't making them uphill or downhill we will leave it to the swapper if the want to complete their block that way!
the block finishes out unfinshed 7.5
These are scrappy houses all cotton fabric.

BTW: The site does say that the house part
"These fun house blocks finish at 7.5" square"
so that would be 8" unfinished to you I think but I could be wrong!
I actually have two that Caroline made like hers that she sent me and they are 8" unfinished.
