2 nests up and 2 down. Sorry birds but not on the light

Once again they're building a nest on my motion detector floodlight. Yes the lights will keep your eggs warm but they cooked them in the past. Although using CFLs doesn't have as much of a heat issue as with the 150w floods and spots I used to use, I'm concerned there'll still be enough heat to damage the eggs. I've got plenty of trees they can use. And they like to leave stuff hanging to trip the motion sensor! I can take them down much quicker than you can put them up birds. How many times will it take?

Usually I hang some cardboard over the top to block them but haven't put it up yet. We usually have a standoff for a couple weeks before they give up.

I was thinking about using a bottle of some sort as a quick birdhouse. Hang it away from from the light and I could put one of their nests in it. But, I'm not going to get into competition with Mother Nature.
