Paint flip-flop

I am redoing my office - mostly cosmetic stuff - replacing old carpet with wood and painting. The guy at the paint counter goofed and I didn't catch it. The wall color was made on the enamel base and the trim color in flat. I can likely use the flat paint to paint the guest room (next project). Any ideas on how I could use the enamel? Or should I chalk it up to "learning" I should say the color is Behr Rye Bread a pale greenish taupe

Pretty color. Maybe a bathroom? Furniture? Some decorators go for the shiny ceiling....Or donate to Re-store...

Will the paint store not take it back? It sounds like it was their mistake, not yours.

lenam, a friend of mine owns a shoe store that sells Danskos, Birkenstocks, etc. and says that all the flip flop wearers is what keeps in him in business (including me). They usually end up in his store HAVING to buy his shoes with more support, mainly from PF. I still wear flip flops on occasion, but years of wearing them constantly is what gave me PF. Can't give them up entirely though-LOL! Now I have to buy the Birkenstock sandals (not the original style) that are patent black or red and silver, the dressiest and least "clunkiest" I can find. I have just about every color. Not my favorite look, but I ruined my feet wearing flip flops, with no support for years and years. I hadn't worked a job, so I wore flip flops every day in the warm months.

Joann Fabrics should have some in the kids crafts or regular craft department. They sell them to decorate them. Maybe Hobby Lobby too.

I've seen a "knock it off"'episode a couple of times where not only do they seem to be walking on a tile floor an hour after it's been laid, but the tile backsplash is clearly not grouted and missing tile around the window sill. I like their knockoffs, and the tension is fun for the viewer, but things need to set and cure for goodness sake; how many fingerprints are embedded in the painted cabinet doors, and how much peels off because a drawer was closed while still tacky? I watch those shows for the ideas and personalities, not for the reality, because it's not reality! Now This Old House, THAT's reality. Months on a project and they talk about codes, permitting, neighbors, etc. not like they are in impediment but as just another thing to tend to. Just like the rest of us.

I didn't see it but the prices they show on TV are ridiculously low. I live in the same county and even on wholesale, it doesn't match what they quoted.

If you can't take it back it would be a nice color for a bathroom.. I could see a nice sandy beach theme. ;)

Thanks so much for the suggestions. It is great to have support when even simple jobs go awry.

Yes, it was their mistake, and I am sure if I noticed and pointed it out before I left the store they would have remade it at no charge.

I will try to return it, and if they won't take it back I will probably donate it to ReStore as we have already painted the bathrooms and don't want to do them just now.

I have noticed "oops" paint in paint stores......paint that is the wrong color or finish so am sure you can talk to them about exchanging it for what you want. If not...good idea donating it to the ReStore.
