What's the Most Radical Decorating Thing You've Done?

Most unconventional? Something that veers wildly from all accepted and expected norms and you did it on purpose?
Do you regret it? Still love it?

For me, it was the floorplan; I built it for us and not some distant, future buyer. The master bedroom opens into the main living/great room. 13 years later, still no regrets and I have been so appreciative of this aspect many, many times for our lifestyle.

The other less dramatic, is to have all white kitchen appliances. I like them for their brightness and cleanness. No great yearnings to switch out to stainless although I could easily enough. Now, if it were La Cornue, hmmm, maybe!
