Waterway Jet Selection help needed

We are nearing the plaster phase of our spa install and I need to pick Jets. We have the Waterways Tee body installed and I'm trying to figure out the difference between the Power Storm and the Poly Storm series of jets. I cannot find the description anywhere including the waterways web page.

Also does anyone have any of the Poly Storm Jets installed? Which ones and do you like them? They have 8 different models.

I can't tell you which one's to get but make sure your plumbing and pump are big enough to support what ever you choose. Some of the fancier jets require a lot of flow rate to work properly and occasionally people will put them on plumbing that won't support them and are very disappointed.

I left a message for the waterways rep and he had his technical person call me. The Power Storm jets have a larger face plate and also offer different internal nozzle sizes for different flow rates. The Poly Storm jets have a smaller face and offer 10 gpm rate nozzles.

They agreed that there is no consumer related documentation at all that describes this.

I picked the Poly Storm and have 8 jets total. I picked 4 pairs of different type of jets to see what they feel like. The good thing about the poly storm jets is that you just have to twist them a bit to remove them and you can replace them very easily. Once we get them in I'll post our opinion of each type.

FYI Tomatoes take lots of room! As for a pump, you really need to share more specific information on your particular setup. If you are using standard drip heads, the pump will have to be strong enough to lift the nutrient out of the sump and pressurize the drip system. These systems usually run at around 15 psi to function correctly. Wherever you buy your drip heads and emitters, there should be some information on pressure. If you are doing NFT, you need a pump that will run a "trickle" of nutrient down the tubes and into a reservoir on a scheduled basis using a timer. A lot depends on the "head height". Every pump has a given head height, meaning it will pump only so high. As long as your pump will deliver a "trickle" of nutrient from your tank to your troughs and have a gravity return, that's as big as you need. Hope this helps.

So do you run a home nursery and going to have small, under 5 year old children in your house for decades that are not yours? So possible lawsuit situation, in which case I would just close off the kitchen completely. I seriously doubt there is any difference between an NXR door verse a Verona door. Most people simply make way too big a deal about this oven door temp thing. My guess would be like for about the past 250,000 years of human existence that if the child touches something hot they wont do it again. Also most burns that happen in the kitchen come from hot WATER/Liquids or from an "Open" oven door not the outside of a door. If you think you are going to child proof a kitchen you are dreaming, that would be like child proofing the middle lane of the freeway. Best thing is to keep them OUT of the kitchen altogether. I mean even our 2 year old Chihuahua has a chair that she sits on at the edge of our kitchen so she can see everything we are doing but stay safely out our way so she doesn't get stepped on or something dropped on her etc. Took us about 2 days to train her to go right to her chair and stay there. Lets hope that most children are at least as intelligent as a 2 year old Chihuahua. I was checking ours out last night again, my wife turned on the oven to 400 to preheat it and we went out to pick something up, so when we got back the oven was ready to go to bake some bread to go with the sketti. So it was pre-heating and being used at 400 for about 2 hours. I placed my hand on the glass and it was "warm" at best probably just over body temp so about 100, just below the glass was even cooler, less than body temp. The only parts of the door that were remotely hot was the crack between the door and kick plate and the very top edge of the door both areas are actually hard to reach. The handle was actually room temp at best so around 70ish degrees. I have a feeling that ADCO states this because NXR simply says what the oven door could possibly ever get to if left on 500 or maybe broil for hours on end, it could probably reach 150 on the top edge of the door.

Need Help! Printer Won't Print 'Selection'

Maybe it's a problem with the website that keeps you from printing it. Or you may need to install new printer drivers (available at hp.com). I just use the "Snipping Tool" to highlight what I want. That way, I can save the selection to my computer or paste it in Word to print it. The Snipping Tool on Vista is great, but if you have XP, you can download a free snipping tool. I only discovered this wonderful tool recently, and I think it's one of the coolest features yet!

That makes more sense. In that case, I would go with the larger 2.0 CF softener to accommodate the higher-flow tub and potential increased water usage as your children turn into teens and use more water. Regardless of where you ultimately decide to purchase, you want to ensure your softener meets some specific criteria: High quality American or German made resin. This will provide a tight size distribution for optimal flow within the resin, longer resin life, and more reliable, predicable water softening. Since you have CITY WATER: 10% crosslinked resin. The oxidizers that city water treatment plants use, such as chlorine or chloramine, are harmful to softener resins. Higher crosslinking will resist chemical attack longer. Top basket. This serves two purposes. It sets up a proper water distribution during normal operation and prevents resin loss during backwash. Gravel underbed. The gravel underbed is there to set up proper flow patterns, improve backwash, keep the bottom basket in place, prevent basket failure, and prevent channeling. Many softener sales companies like to leave this out or sell softeners with a vortex system instead. Vortex systems weigh less than gravel so they cost less to ship. In addition, they are a more expensive item that adds profit for the softener salesperson, but provides no additional benefit to the homeowner . It simply adds another piece of equipment that can break. Fleck or Clack valves. These set the industry standard. Be aware that you will not be able to purchase Clack valves online. This is not a problem if you purchase locally. The valve should have the capability to regen based on water usage. Install the softener with a three-valve bypass. This will make it much easier if you ever need to remove the softener for repairs or wish to take it with you when you move. Use full-port, quarter-turn valves. Noryl bypass. Most softeners are available with either Noryl or stainless bypass valves. Both are good valves, but the noryl tends to be more reliable when not used for long periods of time. This is a redundancy if you install with a proper three-valve bypass. I prefer a bit of redundancy but it is your call. Brine tank: Although either round or square will work, round brine tanks are more structurally sound and will not deform like a square tank will. Since you need a softener 1.5 cuft or larger, a square tank will most likely be too small. If you live in a cold climate, ensure equipment is stored in a climate-controlled environment. Frozen softener resin is damaged softener resin. Purchase a Hach 5-B test kit. You will want to periodically check to ensure your softener is working correctly and this kit is your best option.

The Poly storms are the best.
You dont get alot of presure from some of the massaging ones. If you are using a blower with them, dont over size it as they cant take a lot of pressure.
Do you have the rest of the parts. The Jet itself actually installs after plaster.
You need to set the plaster rings, (not easy with these) then you set up the 1" for proper depth and glue it together. Just follow the directions carefully.
I am sure you have seen this but here is a link to the page with the parts.
Also it is important to remove one of the control pieces so they all can not be shut off dead heading the pump. If you have kids this is possible.

I still use the regular poly jets, after a short stint with the poly storms, and them constantly blowing out of the wall.

I have made a habit out of removing them all. They either close themselves, or the kids do, and I get the call that "my jets don't work.">

I did have that issue early on in their production. Have not had it since. Storms look cooler, especially with the chrome accents.
Only complaint I have ever had on them is from those who like to get bruised from their spa jets. These are not powerfull enough to cause pain.

We had a set of massaging Waterway jets. They were a complete joke. No power at all. Made the spa a huge disappointment.

PB agreed to replace them with a higher flow version of the Waterway jets that have a single nozzle that swivels. Much better, however if you are looking for a lot of power you are probably best to go with a standard eyeball jet.

Also make sure you do not do a venturi line to the jets. Make sure your blower plugs into the air line that feeds the jets.

If you want power, pop a waterway monster jet in the wall fitting it will blow away any venturi tee.

I just finished some repairs on my hot tub. I installed an additional poly storm jet. I now want to change jet inserts. But I'm unable to remove the present insert. Could you review the removal technique/
