I can't wait to receive mine. There are a couple of quilting magazines this month that have adorable pincushions. I love making them and especially receiving them!! LOL!

These are samples like the ones I mailed. I sent two because the flower shaped one did not turn out as good as I'd hoped. I used cotton batting in this one, but prefer polyester. Another lesson learned. I hope this pic works

I just got back from the post office, where I mailed my pincushion out to my swap buddy. It's not nearly as pretty as some of those you've all made, but I like the design.

I just found a pineapple 5" paper pieced block. You can google them and find one. If you can't find one I have a 6" I can send you and you can resize it.

Teresa, I received a very cute hat pincushion and you're right it does remind me of springtime. Thank you so very much. I've got my pincushion cut out, I've just got to put it together and now I've got to work through next Saturday. I do have off Sunday. My evenings are busy with the kids' softball and baseball games. Yikes! Don't worry secret swap partner it will get there by April 15! (I hope!?!)

I sent mine in a padded envelope....I recieved mine today in a ziplock inside a craft envelope...
Thanks Cathleen (cziga)....I received my pin cushion today and I love it - it's beautiful - it will have a nice place on display in my sewing room....THANKS A MILLION! I'm going to post a picture to show off my pin cushion.

I sent mine in a ziplock bag inside a regular brown envelope (like Bill said). I used ziplock just in case the Postal Service didn't take a lot of care with it, but I didn't feel like a bubble envelope was necessary as its not exactly delicate or breakable. Not really a big deal as long as it is protected somehow from the elements, *just in case* :)

Faye, thank you so much for the adorable pincushion I received today. It is a star shape emblished with beads and a button done in blue and yellow to match my birthday blocks.

I will post a picture as soon as possible...Photobucket was not doing what I wanted last night, so will try again and hopefully we get along better.

Thank you so much for the beautiful pincushion - it was just about the cutest one I've ever seen :) It is a "chick", with so many elaborate and complicated little pieces all put together. Don't worry about the stuffing, I can put it together easily and it wouldn't have been worth the postage to send it stuffed ($10 seems very excessive).

I don't have a digital camera or I'd post a photo. I may try to borrow one so that I can put a picture up here, unless you have one. Really, the cutest thing! Thank you so much, again!

Cziga glad you like your little chicken. I must tell others...you know you buy a chicken at the store and then buy stove top stuffing! Well when I went to the post office with my little chick, the postage was $9.65 so Cziga got her chicken with the stuffing in a bag and I mailed it for $2.00. I am so glad you were not offended.

I have a picture of the little chick that I can post with mine if that helps.

Jean, glad you liked it, and glad it got there in time. It was delayed by a week because of the postage issue you mentioned. I thought about destuffing it and sending it in an envelope, and considered making a different 'flat' pincushion, but in the end I bit the bullet and paid the ridiculous postage. I don't know how people do the EBay thing here in Canada. Our postage is way too high.

Anyway, glad you liked it. I have a picture and can post it if you want.

By the way, I hear it is close to 30 degrees out there this week. YAH!!! SPRING!!!

Faye, I almost fainted when I looked at the postage....everyone Faye paid $11.26 postage to send my pincushion and it didn't rush getting here. Now isn't she one special person and this is why we don't take part in many swaps.

One day I will see something unique and special that I will buy for you! I am hoping I can get a computer at the library tomorrow to post pictures.

Hey Bill, I thought I had posted that I got my pincushion, but in looking back I see I did not. Sorry about that. Mine was the one with the victorian dancers, picture of which was posted earlier.

It is a heavy beanbagish type and it sitting comfortably at my machine.

Well, I'm the last and now we all have ours. It isn't Vicky's fault, it's been in someone's postal process for two weeks. But, it's a wonderful gift and I just love it. It's such a clever idea. I'd have never thought of this.
