30 year old pool questions

our pool is almost 30 years old,it has been replastered once and has an almost 6 year old pump and a polaris cleaner was added at that time also

it has the original decking and tile (a few tile need to be replaced, but we do have those pieces) a few of the rocks around the edges have been re-mortared

otherwise the pool area looks and functions really well

we would like to replace the diving board with a rock waterfall-with several large rocks for the kids to jump off of

but we're wondering what the average age of a pool is and whether we'd be investing in a pool that is almost at the end of it's life

can anyone think of anything we should be doing or checking for to keep this pool functioning for another 20 years??

what is the average life of a pool???
