First, do I go to the site that I want to post and do anything there (get a drink, use the facilities, etc.?) or do I just type in the link here on this site and do what you told me to do substituting the name of the site for your's, etc.? Also, how do you make the darn signs that you told me to replace the others with???

Oh, YaYa, the signs are on your keyboard. Just type the address and what you want to call it. You can go to the site and 'copy' the address from the address bar and then 'paste' it here if you want to.

YaYa, you need to put a / in front of the A instead of a 1. When you put the / in front of a command it is telling it to stop. As in stopping the link. Since you didn't do that, the link command continued.

When you get up, this how I create a link.
Scroll down to the bottom of this thread and take a gander at the "Post a Follow-up" form. See the two small boxes - "Optional URL" & "Name of Link"?
Try this.
1) Leave this page open and open a new browser window, with your student's website.
2) Highlight the address of the other website and select CTRL+C OR Edit>>Copy.
3) Come back here and scroll to the "Post a Follow-Up" form.
4) In the "Optional Link URL" box, paste the link by clicking in the box and selcting CTRL+V or Edit>>Paste.
5) In the "Name of Link" Box, type a catchy name, or any name will do.
6) In the Message box, type something to amuse us all.
7) Click Prevew Message button and you know the rest!

YaYa, try this:

When you are on Scout's website, look at the Address bar where the http: addy is. left click to highlight that address, then right click to "copy" it. Now, come back to the KT and type your reply. Now, look below the Message box you are typing your reply in, where it shows: Optional Link URL: Right click and post her website addy you just copied. Then, name it. In this case of course, Scout Finch. Hit preview and submit.

If you are starting a new thread, it's a little different however. You will need to click Preview Message before it will give you the options of Optional Link URL: or the Name of the Link boxes. You'll see them. But on a reply within a post, it's right there beneath the Message box you are typing your replies in. Clear at all Teach?

OH and BTW. Scout has a lovely voice and a wonderful band. I hope she goes very far with her career. I want to go back and listen to more of her music.
