Ladies, did you notice.........?

Not one male responded to my "Let's talk makeup!" thread of a couple of weeks ago. Therefore, I'm thinking the next time we want to discuss bras, or menopause, or what-have-you, we should type "Let's talk mascara!" or "What's your favorite lipstick?" in the subject line.

Makes sense to me! LOL

Oh, don't bring up that make-up thread. It inspired me to try to wear lipstick regularly, something I just could never get into the habit of doing even though I own plenty of it and enjoy wearing it.

The problem was I put it in my pants pocket to make it accessible to me all day and then I washed and dried it! I found myself scrubbing lipstick stains out of clothing.

Oh well, if anyone needs a good stain remover try Amodex. So far I can tell you it gets out tomato sauce, bbq sauce and lipstick.

Yes, I completely agree with you, Ken! I was fairly horrified after visiting your place to realize that I didn't take pictures. I was hoping you wouldn't feel slighted, because I will always remember the visit. I am not a multitasker. My better half is and takes lots of pictures. I can take a picture, or I can participate in the event, I cannot do both. I'm quite envious of those of you that can! tsuga, you found, as I did, that the gardener was every bit as noteworthy as the garden. The link below was on a Denver news channel recently. Marie, it's at the top of the message column. That's where you get access to all of the pages associated with this particular forum. Just click on the one you want, like Exchanges, then when you want to come back to this page, click on Discussions. Gallery is for posting pictures of quilts; Conversations is for off-topic stuff, like recipes, diets, grandchildren stories, etc. None of them are widely used on this forum but some of the forums have a very active Conversation page. About the time I got home on the first day of digging and the excavator walked up and said, "well, we've got a problem here...". Turned out to be not as bad as finding ledge, but our site is pure sand that meant he had to dig a bigger hole due to the walls falling in and had to do a lot more moving material around to fit on the site. (We were on the beach about 40M years ago and apparently there is about 180 feet of beach sand under our house. We warned the guy about the sand, based on other holes we had dug, but he dismissed it as "not possible". Hah!)

I enjoyed reading that thread, gave me some ideas which I haven't incorporated yet . I have a ton of makeup but don't wear it enough, I'm just too lazy. I have deep circles under my eyes, no matter how much sleep I get so I look like a raccoon!

I must have missed that thread! I don't wear makeup often, but actually wore foundation, eyeshadow, liner, blush & lipstick yesterday for a bridal shower. I guess if I want to talk bras, ect, and the guys want to read it, oh well. If I worried about them reading it, I wouldn't post it. But it might be fun to see how many paid attention, besides OJ!!!!!

Sleeperblues, have you been tested for diabetes?
A friend of DGS's (7 y/o) has had dark circles for years, was never energetic, and all of a sudden started drinking all the time. His mother took him to the pediatritian several times, concerned, but never got anywhere until her son started drinking so much and she did some research. She walked in and said you are going to order these test. Kid has type one. Hope your circles are just natural, not due to illness.

Ohh, I dunno, I'm gonna bet that if you put "menopause" in the title, the guys will pretty dependably stay away too! ;-)
