Love all the art, and your bedding and accents are very pretty. Do you have to put the bed in front of the window, tho? Isn't there another wall on which it can be placed?

I am also wondering if you couldn't run an extension cord in the other direction? I would rather see it run along a baseboard than have to try and close the bathroom door on the cord all the time. The chest IS very pretty, very feminine.

Gorgeous decor. If you went with a black iron bed the open headboard would be a good match for the position by the drapes.

Thanks all. Actually,in front of the window is the only place to put the bed. The opposite wall is the closet and door into the room. It's not that big of a room.

There is no other electricity anywhere in that hall or anywhere near by. The home is not up to code as far as number of outlets are concerned.

I like that Target bed but the curve of the bars might jut the bed too far out from the wall. The concept of that style of bed is great thugh.

would this perhaps be a good time to have an electrician come in and add a few outlets for you? They are not expensive just his labor.

She wants $75 but I think that is too much especially since I do not need the footboard for this space. What do you think?

My landlord did say she was going to have the electrician fix some outlets but she says a lot w/o delivering. I am worried about the summer - no central air in this house. But we will cross that bridge when it gets here.
Oh, found a great buy - a 2' dia clock wih Roman numerals on sale at BB&B for $14.98 less my 20% coupon - $12. Sticker said large hand sticks. I knew I could easily fix that. I put it up in place of that black framed picture to left of where bed will be. The black framed art (cacti) I moved to under the picasso shown in the first photo.

I would say no ! too ornate and frilly.

Frilly, yes, but you could spray paint the whole thing and it would look less frilly, especially if you use a dark metal, black or dark brown paint.

Guest room is looking very good!
I don't care at all for the $75 bed. The ornate one is a bit much, but would benefit from a few cans of black spray paint. I recommend the rustoleum 2x, it didn't drip and covered very nicely when I did a cheap ugly desk last month.

I thought of using this "frilly" headboard because of the RL duvet which is all embroidered cream on cream with organic leaves and such. I emailed the poster to see if it is still available.
