How Much Overhang (interior and exterior) for Stone Coping on Spa

We are going to provide our spa stone coping for the masons to install in pre-cut sections. Our completed spa wall is 12 inches thick all the way around including the spill-over. We have made a template based on the raised portion that will get the stone. The stone will be 2 inches thick and will be cut in sections from 3 foot x 2 foot stone slabs. We want to have the inner and outer edges bull-nosed. Our spa is not a perfect circular shape, but has curves and is more free-form if that makes a difference.

Our spa waterline tile is about 1/4 inch thick and the raised wall exterior will get stone facing that varies in thickness up to about 2 inches thick. How much overhang should we allow for on the interior and exterior edges of the spa coping? Should we have them cut the stone 2&1/2 inches wider on the exterior or 3 inches? Is 1 inch overhang too much or too little to extend beyond the concrete for the interior overhang (guessing this will be 1/2 inch after tile is attached?

PBs or those who have similar stone installations, we would appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.
