I can say I've been to 40 states, Toronto Canada, several states in Mexico, Japan (Honshu and Okinawa). And want to go to more.

I'm not sure I can count the airports or how relevant that would be, like should I count Lisbon, Portugal? We were in the airport on the way to the island of Madeira, but we didn't see anything but the airport (It looks like an airport)

Anyway, counting airports I've flown into, out of, or through, I get: 53 airports. Four of them are different airports in Maine, where the end goal was the same, Rockport, which has no airport, and at different times, different airports made the most sense.

I've probably spent more time IN airports since *TSA nonsense* began than I ever did in all the years before it, starting with my first flight to Minneapolis from Chicago (Midway) when I was seven. It wasn't a good beginning. I used the airbag. (Turned out I was not airsick, just coming down with the flu.)

I am the slug of the bunch. Flew to Florida many times in the 30+ years my parents lived there. Ditto Arizona when my in-laws lived in Carefree. And Bermuda when they lived there. That's about it.

Before I was married, I strongly wanted to travel. But my husband, a chemical engineer who was in charge of aviation fuels for a major company, had been all over the world and strongly wanted to stay home. :-)

I've been on exactly 2 planes. Flew from Philly to Atlanta to visit one of my brothers and his family. Then flew back from Atlanta to Philly.

I went by myself. I was nervous to say the least. My kids thought it was hilarious because they fly all over the place. I told them I didn't know whether to turn left or right after walking through the door, haha.

The TSA agent had to stop me and ask me to remove my shoes. Duh, I didn't even notice everyone else had theirs off.

Those are all I can remember at the moment. This summer I will be flying to Costa Rica.

I have only been to 1 airport and that was to pick up my son-in-law at the Fort Myers airport in Florida. I am not a flyer.

To all you world travelers that post pictures here , I love seeing them. I am somewhat jealous of the places you have been. It is too late for me see the world on my own, and DH has no desire to fly (or float) anywhere.

I do wonder how much of the North American continent some of you have seen. There are wonderful and interesting sites to be enjoyed right here. If you have pictures, it would be nice to see what has impressed the traveler in the USA and Canada also.

Every time I read someone's list I'm reminded of another place I've been. I'm willing to bet I'm one of the few who has flown into Ushuaia, Argentina however. I know Jody has been there. The most exotic ones were Hong Kong and Bangkok plus some smaller cities in China that I can't remember the names of. My most common destinations are Boston, Providence, New York, Tampa and West Palm Beach.

Lets just say that after being a flight attendant for a major airline for 37 years...I've seen more than a few airports!

But...have any of YOU ever been a passenger on a BLIMP? Huh? Have you? (Nyah, nyah!)

I can't even participate as I was in the middle east for 23 years and we traveled a lot... My Dad worked for an oil company and we came back to the States every two years and then in high school, I traveled yearly (twice a year when I went to school in Spain...) Lots of memories...

Hovering high above the east coast of Florida in silence in the blimp (engine off) felt very much like the childhood dream of flying -- seeing the expanded horizon.

I counted 15 airports for me so far, but am sure there are more. Like others, once someone else mentions a place/name then I remember going through there myself. lol! I haven't done what I'd call much travel though, either in the US or elsewhere. Still haven't been west of the Mississippi River! :p But I have driven up and down the east coast lots of times and lots of places without ever going near an airport. I seriously avoid airports since 9/11 -- air travel is just too unpleasant now.

What a fun thread. I started counting, got up to 50 and could keep going, but won't bore you with all the places. Been in a hot air balloon a few times, too. Honestly didn't like it that much -- you're just hanging there, I find comfort in hearing an engine. And in a helicopter several times. DH was a pilot before he retired but never flew as his passenger. Would love to fly in a blimp!
